The deputy governor was Kikuyu but he resigned.
Nairobi has MPs from Luhya, Kikuyu, Luo, Kamba, Kalenjin, Kisii, Somali communities. Anyone can become a politician in Nairobi. There's no particular dominant community in Nairobi's politics. Last parliament there was an Indian MP too and we've had white politicians winning.

Kisumu the dominant Language is Kiswahili followed by Luo.
