Talking about putting the cart before the horse

Where’s the electricity to power the the cctv, even there’s no database for citizens
BVN, National ID, car plate number can be synchronized to get 80% database of citizens.
On light issue solar panel or centralise generator to power all.
Fashola has said its not FG fault if you don't have light.

1. I started a thread about CCTV in Ibadan, I did not say anything about politics, but you brought up politics, you brought up irrelevant rubbish about GEJ and some scam rubbish in Abuja.

Do you even read the rubbish you type before posting?

2. I care less about your political affiliation and this is not a politics thread so why are you shouting politics, atiku or buhari? Who cares?

3. Stay on topic or just go away if you have nothing better to contribute beyond your blind and illogical criticism.

I hate to admit it, but it's still a necessary infrastructure. CCTVs like these are usually equipped with solar panels so the issue of power is already solved. Whether there's a database or not, the cameras, if monitored and maintained properly, would help solve a lot of problems like traffic congestion, security issues and so on.

I know a lot of our politicians could be useless, but we have to start from somewhere as a people. This is still a reasonable project.
You can say that again my brother... I am vr sure many States will follow dis suit... Nice one Ajimobi

I see a lot of comments here on this project laudable as it appears, Ajimobi with Adelabu in tow intends to levy businesses and religious houses in Ibadan up to #60,000 for a project that his security vote should have covered!

First things first,we have to start by putting everyone on a data base first before you commence with CCTV because if someone is to commit a crime and he is been seen on CCTV, how will you catch him if you cannot have his data?

Yea, Ajomobi himself copied that from Lagos. We need to start emulating good projects, that's the only way we can witness nation-wide development.

He did solar to power it but he’s putting the cart before the horse cos the citizens can’t even afford to get basic amenities like good road, water and health care, their hospitals are the worst ever.

For once i totally agree with you 100%

deomelo:
The electricity that powered the system in the pictures came from where? From the MOON.

Do you really think the folks involved did not do their research or factor in the power situation before setting up the system?

You think you are smart and know more than other people, I bet given the opportunity to do something, you will not do anything to protect your people and instead sit on your hands for decades until you have stable electricity before you lift a finger.

I keep saying, Nigerian youths are not ready to govern because they think very backward, they have a can't do spirit, they are totally in a state of apathy and mental stagnation.

Of course, that is the usual trend with government projects in Nigeria. It's even more than 200%. But as long as they're still doing reasonable projects, people's lives will still move forward. Such a shame that there's so much corruption, but we have to be hopeful. sad

Power remains cardinal in all these things. Solar power is useless in Nigeria and shorlived. Drive around Ikorodu road in Lagos and see the state of the so called solar powered CCTVs. They are all waste. It's a clear case of putting the cart b4 the horse. Go back there in the next two years and see.
