Like u know exactly what I did richness. My company just don't give out reference letters in this our case,
they only give what they called "embassy introduction letter" for holidays. Had to get it from my Line Mgr and bombarded it with all you listed.
Richness1104:

I quite agree with this. For example, you won't be given a reference/introduction letter by the HR in my organization if you have a pending disciplinary committee issue. Your supervisor may not be in the know or be aware of what the organization policy says about it. I think it's suitable (I stand to be corrected) that one use employment letter, confirmation letter, promotion letter, pay slip, id card and so on to justify. You can even print out your JD and attach.

No, he didn't even remember cos it was since 1999. The hospital called him after some days and asked him to come for additional questions or so. So he went and was advised to do hepatitis b and sputum tests which he has done.
I just want to know if there is anymore to be done

Ooh k.. In my case I did Hep B & C tests after I told my PP that I got treated for TB which came out negative. She said they might call me for further test but I haven't heard anything. I guess those tests would suffice for now.

Hehhe IQAS FOLKS (Lawyers ) OHHH.EDAKUN , BIKONU . Our Scores Sits pretty at 447 but its kinda just stucked in the middle. who sent transcript and documents to IQAS delivered Oct and has received first acknowledgment mail. I am beginning to worry ohh.My Beloived University processed my husband transcript and my husband documents sent at once to IQAS and it was delivered to IQAS OCtober 23rd at exactly 2:15 pm cause i tracked it. it took just three days. Since November ending, we have been checking mail and no show or sign of first acknowledgment receipt. I logged in to the new IQAS tracking portal and still no sure Info as regards the Application received status. My husband smashed the November ending IELTS and this is making our score sit at 447 but without IQAS feedback, we cant proceed since Hubby is the principal applicant.

I think you should call them. It doesn't take that long for them to acknowledge. Please call them biko.

This should definitely encourage someone. You may have been cast down, broken, felt defeated but in the end, you just have to win. Win ielts for your future, your children and just for better living. Am on this table myself and looking at what is happening around, it's not worth it giving up on this dream. I wake up and go to work only to be frustrated at workplace . I know it is not bed of roses over there too but when you have a system that works, every other thing can be achieved.

My advice, go for a Remark of your Writing, you may probably be upgraded to a 6.5 which will be a CLB 8 or 7 which will be CLB 9. As long as it's writing exam your chances of mark upgrade is high.

This statement is not true. Regardless of what other component is, u need minimum of 8777

Please how long will it take them to acknowledge the receipt of the docs I sent through fax?
I saved the docs with my ref no. or is there another way to put the ref no?
Finally, how do I exclude verifying my bachelor's? cos they mailed me that they are still awaiting it but I definitely don't want to evaluate it

Call them on phone or message them on Twitter to delete your BSc. Your cert will be updated when they receive all your docs.

Oh my goodness....this is an almost perfect result....just 0.5 marks miss in listening.

Is he the Principal Applicant? Have you tried using the crs calculator to check where this score places you?

If he is the PA....please use some woman power and positive words to persuade him to write again....

NaGodwino!

I doubted myself a week to the exam, I have an extremely demanding job (7-4.30), two boys (3.4 n 1.5) with no help (hubby stays in another state and came home the night before my speaking test).

Thanks to God almighty, I used the study materials on page 1, I chose advantage by Chris and the material that came with the registration.
I made dinner immediately I return from work (if you greet me pass 5sec after close of work, I will politely tell you I have an appointment), fetched water (yes, pumping machine decided to spoil then smh), washed school uniforms, did homework (I had to warn the teacher, omo reduce the homework or you do it by yourself o) cajoled the kids to eat and sleep before 7pm (my toddler is still nursing, so that gets him to sleep faster, though stressful for me, for my 3yr old, I just pretend I am sleeping and after his numerous activity, he gets bored and sleeps off- sometimes, I also end up sleeping off lol).

So, I studied from 7pm-9pm (non-church service days, stopped attending mid-week service the week before exam (church days 8-9)), slept till 12, then studied from 12-5am to go make breakfast, walking like a zombie (most times, I complete my dressing up @ work, shebi na to come early, wu fashion parade hep?). I did all the practice on the website that Chris and BC recommended except the writing- did about 4 writing practice tests I wasn't 100% confident in what I learnt, so, I felt I needed to read more. I used my husband for the writing practice, whenever he chats me about work or anything, I will respond with either a formal or informal task 1 essay (e.g. I wrote an unsubmitted letter of complaint to the bread seller that sold him spoilt bread stating when and where he purchased, method of payment, emotions and the action needed lol, he had to beg me to stop correcting his statements). Then on weekends, I would send him my task 2 essay and he would mark and correct, whatever he says, I would paraphrase using a different but exact in meaning word and restructure the statement

So, I had 3 hrs sleep @ home, 30 minutes sleep @ work (during lunch time) and occasional dozing offs @ work. Boy I had headache but I lost the extra weight, someone begged me to recommend the drug I was using to shed weight lol.

My speaking was quite short and I lied no be small (well its called fiction). My examiner was speaking Yoruba ponbele while I was at the door and immediately I stepped in, she turn Oyinbo, DiarisGodo. I spoke on the song I like and the only song I could remember was Asa. I couldn't remember any other song in the whole wide world! I kukuma talked about the song and I am sure the examiner knows the song cos she was looking at me in a funny way like you know I don't believe you right? Wetin consan me and it took her a lot of effort to be professional lol (I said Asa lifts my spirit, identifies with my personality, ah iro yen po! abi when I didn't know what to jot down within first 5 secs, I turned to fiction o). In the Part 3, I made sure I used a lot of past, present and future tenses. I knew I did well though I didn't give my absolute best and I really trusted God for a miracle.

On the exam day, just as someone here said, I met two people I least expected, I used the restroom about thrice, the last time was to dance before the writing cos I was getting nervous. The listening was quite clearer than I expected, the part where the PhD student was talking about his future plans was what got me confused. Reading was bam, finished in 33 minutes, read over like 10 times. For writing, I spent extra time on task 1 about 24minutes before I borrowed myself brain. For task 2, I supported that giving gifts is better than other methods of showing we care and gave examples and detailed explanations. I didn't vary my vocab as much as I learnt cos the time was fast ticking. I read each sentence, paragraph and the entire tasks twice (Please write in pencil and edit your work). I was optimistic, I prayed, fasted, confessed and believed God.

God is faithful! If I can make it, then I believe you don't have any excuse

Hello All, seeking advice here.
I and my partner about to do our ECA. Both of us finished from different universities, but plan to send our sealed transcript envelopes (addressed to ICES) in the same courier package to avoid paying two courier fees. I don't know if it will fly and be accepted by ICES as coming directly from our respective universities.
Thanks guys for your anticipated response.
