Nobody is holding u to travel to Dubai, the ask for opinion and advice and it was given base on experience, at the end he has to take the final decision is just to let him know what to expect over there

Good Evening Guys . I would be travelling to the uae on Sunday morning this weekend. I have a questions to ask .how much does it cost to get a yellow card at the airport ? Is it compulsory? For a first timer traveller how do I go about my way at the airport. Never been to the airport and never flown a plane. I have been hearing different experiences that the immigration would be on me. I have my hotel reservation for two weeks and I have my flight ticket and my 3 months visa printed out. Please can someone give me in details what I would be facing on Sunday and the best way to go about it . $700 bta enough ? Or do you think I need someon to board me ? As a first timer you will face a lot at that airport but with confidence nothing will happen.
You will see some guys that tried to scared u off by saying immigration will send you back or stuff like that.

When u get to d entrance of the airport you will see some policemen, they will ask u which airline are u flying just name it and fall in... No smiling o

Proceed to d airline desk
Some airline staffs too might want to extort you by asking unnecessary question as they are aware u are flying for d first time by asking of your PTA just tell them u have 700usd which is quite enough.
Don't let anybody scare u.
After dropping your luggages to airlines then proceed to d immigration just make sure u have 2 or 3k with you. This is a criminal thing which management need to look at, it's disgraceful. Immigration will be asking u nonsense question asking for what u can't never get at that moment just to collect a huge amount from you but make sure u insist that the 700usd u have is for a purpose in Dubai while the last naira you have is 3k, he will surely stamped you but do not be scared u can't miss your flightĺ

1,yes u can, get the testimonial of the secondary sch u finished from ok. Testimonial is a must ooo.

2,go with the two certificate and testimonial ok
3,are u going on employment Visa? If yes u need medical , if na tourist or visit u no need ok.

Are you ond hnd original certificates or statement of result, if the are statement of result u will need to get a transcripts, ok.

imagine someone discouraging his fellow Nigerian that earns 60k, if he earns 130k and he spends 30k on feeding and monthly upkeep, he still has 100k compared to the 60k he makes here and 40k monthly upkeep which would leave him with 20k.

I wonder when Nigerians abroad will start speaking nothing but the truth just like you did now.

Your eyes go soon clear...nobody is discouraging anybody cos the money aint coming from my pocket, the guy needed advise and I did with the little experience I have its his choice to take or leave it if you read the conversation well I made my points clear provided his still single its a good choice but if not the monthly 40k expenses will remain even double and the hype he dey abroad will set in thereby the expectation will increase back home,those are the facts I based my advise on but the sky is always the limit,he can start with that and switch to more better options. So I never asked him not to come...but, if you are not there you won't know.

Someone asked if Transport and Accommodation is taken care of, if so, then this man if single may proceed. Get the international work experience and the repackage himself for another better job. Most times, the first job abroad is always with a meager pay in the economy of that country.

I really wish him good luck because he has moved from saying to doing by getting an offer in the first place. Many people are still in the stage of "I want to go abroad" without making any move yet, same for other things in life too.

I never countered ur point but my point is this: most or all employers in uae take care of accomodtion, even if he's earning the same amount in Nigeria,lets be honest with ourselves being in uae would still favour him than being in naija because if he doesn't pass his boundaries, the money would sustain him easily with saving plan and also he is more exposed to better opportunities there than in Nigeria.

if u want to discourage someone, then return to Nigeria and look for job, by doing that, u don't need to talk much before people understand u.
I just hate anything discouraging.

Years of experience counts in all we do in life...
Really we all started small here except the lucky ones.
I can count more than 10 guys I knew when they came to UAE.
Today, they are already alright and doing fine.
Job of 1300 is even fair to what people start with here...

You will land a better job that pays fine only if you can be patient enough and give at least a year
( Rome was not built in a day).
