CATAPLEXY- Inability To Move Body Parts Even Though I'm Fully Conscious. by dejavuh0007(op): 9:01pm On Dec 14, 2018
So, I was watching an episode of 911(season 2, episode 2) and I came across the term cataplexy and narcolepsy. Apparently, cataplexy is a sudden and uncontrollable muscle weakness or paralysis which is also related to narcolepsy.
For some years now, I have been experiencing cataplexy. At first, I even tot it was a spiritual something(village pple) coz I mostly experience it in the night while in my sleep. My episodes r usually characterized by full consciousness but with inability to move any part of my body (such as my legs, arms, turn my neck, even to open both eyelids I can't) and each of d episode also come along with a very severe pounding in my head(it always feel like my head will explode literally). Though I read cataplexy can only occur when one is fully awake(invariably, it only occurs during the day) but mine occurs at nyt.
Now, what I want is for the doctors in the house to tell me what disease I'm really suffering from. is it cataplexy or something else and help me proffer solution to my condition.
Mods, pls help get this to the front page.
