My Bitter Experience With Ecobank by peacemara54(m): 5:35pm On Dec 17, 2018
Dear friends, pls I need urgent help and best advice at the moment. I don't understand Ecobank anymore and I think they are fraudulent.

Nov., 24. A sum of 24000 was credited into my account. And this money was transferred from first bank of Nigeria. This was at the time Ecobank was having issue with Network and at the same time, upgrading their system.

I waited endlessly for this money to be credited into my acct but till this moment, no alert and no reflection of that amount in my account balance. I ask the depositor to contact her bank which is first bank. First bank sent a message to my bank becos actually, I was told that money left first bank and is with Ecobank. But after a week with no response from Ecobank, I need to contact their headquarters. I was told they will work on my request and that was about 4 days ago. Till now, Ecobank still find it difficult to trace my money.

2. Dec.,11, my account was credited. And I saw my account balance through the message alert sent by Ecobank.

I was shocked and surprised the next day when I checked my balance and discover, 28000 was deducted from the original balance left in my account. Immediately I forward my complaint to Ecobank and I receive another shocker. I was told that my account balance was valid.

But how come? What happen? I did no transaction and my balance was still intact as at 11:59pm. So, how come 28000 was deducted from my acct. with no explanation and no transaction carried out. How can you just deduct such amount and keep telling me my acct balance is valid. What sort of nonsense.

I will make sure I get my money back from Ecobank through all legal means available. A total of 52000 missing with no explanation from the bank and they are not helping out all they are doing is just to frustrated you and make you forget the money but no, not from me.. I think this is fraud and if Ecobank can perform this kind of trick on many accts, they will be raking million of naira fraudulently from their customers. I don't think its safe at the moment to bank with them

Pls I need help on how to get back my money
Any useful advice pls

Someone advised I should threaten to report them to CBN and the moment I did that, the transaction was reversed and my account credited. Do not go there forming gentleman. #MyTwoCent

Yes, thanks to Ecobank. Problem solved. In fact, kudos to customers service agent who attends to me yesterday. She did her best to make sure , the problem is solved.

I have no issue with them now.

Infact, I plan to close my acct with Ecobank yesterday and get a good bank always reliable for my business transactions but Ecobank prove to me yesterday that I need no other reliable bank than Ecobank. So, its safe banking with them, no fear.
