We don't know what really led to the argument here since the narrator Ezinne was too obsessed with the Igbo-Yoruba thing to be clear-headed and objective. Conductors normally give people change but sometimes there is a dispute over the fare. Many Lagos conductors are terrible. So are many Lagos passengers. It's sad that things degenerated to the loss of lives and I hope those who carried out jungle justice instead of handing the culprit over to the police are arrested and punished.

So Huncle Conductor went through a pre hell experience before going to the main Hell fire...Two lost souls jst like that.

A police man tried to intervene but he was chased away, another guy too did same thing but was chased away as well, if only the emergency team had arrived on time.

I am sorry for both. This story reminds me of my early days in lagos. One alaye picked fight with me. Unbelievable to him, i beat him blue and black. His fellow alaye couldn't stand it, picked a weapon and broke head. The alaye got up from the floor and rushed his friend. Another fight started. His anger? That he didn't ask him to intervene.

They did a very good job on the bus conductor

Drivers and their bus boys like to behave as if they are the only ones hustling in this country. As if everyone else is disturbing them, even when you are asking them for your right

There is nothing wrong in here.... If you can't fight with your fist , simply avoid trouble... That useless conductor can't stab a fellow being and then expect stupid Nigeria law/court that is as slow as a moving snail to do the necessary justice....

One lesson I have learnt in Naija. There is frustration every where. So avoid fight at all cost.

The boy died because of hundred naira change. He was on his right may be but there are times you just avoid trouble though you are being cheated. Its sad , so so sad.

If he had left the change for the evil conductor, he would have looked like a weakling and Mumu to many around but his precious life would still be intact and saved.
