'It is time for the Senate to stand up and speak up in defense of Deji Adeyanju' - Dino Melaye

At plenary today, Senator Dino Melaye spoke on the floor of the house in defense of political activist, Deji Adeyanju, who is currently in detention.


According to the lawmaker, 'this activist was arrested again by the Police, for a matter that took place 18 years ago. The judgement has been given. Deji Adeyanju and two others have been discharged and acquitted by the court. This is not acceptable to me; it should not be accepted by the Senate. It is time for the Senate to stand up and speak up in defense of Deji Adeyanju. We need to defend Deji Adeyanju, as we need to defend every Nigerian'.



Deji Adeyanju was rearraigned before a Wuse magistrate court on Tuesday December 4th, before he was granted bail. Adeyanju, who was arrested on November 28th while leading a protest in Abuja, was released on Monday December 3rd from the federal prison in Keffi after meeting his bail condition but was re-arrested by a police team waiting around the prison.

are you people so daft or what, he should again get a lawyer for someone that has met his full bail conditions and has been discharged and acquitted.

is it that the criteria or eligibility to support buhari automatically means you'll no longer need your brain to converse and act with daily happenings visible to all?

and for dino malaye, terming the subject(person in question) of the topic as an activist is very laughable, we all know he's a PDP member, nevertheless it doesn't mean the full verdict of the law shouldn't be recognized no matter who's involved.

so it's so unfortunate and rather outrightly pathetic that this failed government has so crippled, damaged and sidelined our judiciary system which is suppose to be the bedrock and determining factor of a nation that wants to prosper against all odds.

This guy has been in prison for almost two weeks now and no one seems to remember him. Like play like play, dem don dey forget am for prison.
Where is pdp chairman and other biwigs politicians in the useless party? PDP was bad as ruling party, poor as opposition for always abandoning his own at the time of trouble.
Who would have thought Deji, for all his sacrifices for PDP online has no vaue to them? Lesson to online warriors like ffk, Reno and others that online popularity doesn't directly translate to real life values.
