Child's Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) posted photos of abandoned children they rescued this week in Akwa Ibom.

According to the charity organization based in Akwa Ibom, the children were branded witches and kicked out by their families.
"Photos of children rescued this week after being abandoned by their families and ostracised from home even with their church dresses. Their parents even feel comfortable to say "they're unwanted children." Superstition, poverty and religious brigandage are the major combinations that is fueling this avoidable epidemic"

Even b4 reading I knew it was akwa ibom, apart from uyo, the state capital every other part of that state na village.

This is sickening. Blaming their low socioeconomic status in a child.

I really need to understand how they come into such conclusions. It's unthinkable!

No be only "Oyu" and where are u from? I bet those other villages u mentioned are far better than ur city.

When you see the pastors telling their parents that this children are witches are nothing to write home about.

Why are u taking it personal, i said the truth, this thing is too common in akwa ibom ur govt should do something about it. And my village is way better than uyo for ur info.
