When the students are all children.
University is meant for young adults. 18years to 24 years and above. Any age less than this is a child. That is why the University will treat you as one.

Yes. It is.
You go to school to learn not to distract people .
If you are outside the school premises you can walk naked nobody will stop if those outside will allow it.

UNILORIN has gone off the radar since late 90s when 49 lecturers, the founding fathers , were illegally sacked, though, reinstated after over a decade.
Religion, specifically Islam, is taking its toll on the once noble university.
A day is coming when UNILORIN students would be forced to wear uniform like secondary school students.

Mr England, you of all people ought to know that in an academic environment any form of distraction or provocation need to be reduced to the best minimum by any means possible.

It is an environment for learning not an environment for fashion or entertainment; even sane minds know what indecent dressing can cause.

I am very disappointed in you to say the least: that a cerebral mind like yours couldn't see beyond the sleaze of these ills the school is trying to ward off.

My friend unilorin infrastructures are top notch. Good roads, electricity, water, labs, internet networks, new buildings and upgraded ones. When i say Unilorin is different i mean it. Unlike other universities who claim ancient history.

If Dress code is clearly maintained in every business organizations and other working places then why not teach these potential employees right from school.

The real issue here is not revealed and it appears no one is taking note.

Previous knowledge of enforcements in uniliron should ring a bell to us that this new dressing would definitely be islamized.

Say females may be forced to wear hijab , etc. Once this is accomplished, they'll have the boldness to enforce even more.

I don't have any problem with whatever rules they make.

However, ask those professors and doctors making those decisions. Many studied advanced degree in Europe and America. Have they observed dressing codes over there?

I have seen hundreds of videos and recordings of MIT students and I have never seen a single person on suit. It's all Shorts and casuals. They have beards (guys) and females appear super casual.

This isn't about the differences in culture. But about what goes on in meetings. Are Senates always discussing dressing codes or discussing how to students to the top of the world.

I am confused

When stupidity comes in contact with wisdom it dies a natural death.

Now Mr. Let's have a mini class session about decency and nudity..God and Devil.

I leave you to match above behavior.

If Christianity does not improve human culture and does not uphold decency and Islam does then let the earth and the remain planets be Islamized of cause if that's the word you want to use...

We cannot succumb to nudity just because a religion does not condemn it in spite of all its evils

Mr...if you are not a logical person don't bother replying because I will not be this nice henceforth.

Mumu like you wouldn't know his right from left.

I talk of what I know. University is for adults not for minions like you. So other universities where students don't wear uniform are more corrupt? See how shallow minded you're.

I had my first degree in university of Ilorin before it was islamized. And I can tell you the school was better then without all these outward, religious reforms. Mumu, ask yourself, is the university not a microcosm of the society? That's if you understand what I mean. Check your dictionary! Do people wear uniformy in the society the students live? Would they continue to wear uniform to places of work after graduation.?

Ignoramus like you would not see the harm such outward reforms portend to those young adults. Mumu like you do not know what fundamental human rights entail. Undergraduates are adults. And they have freedom of expression. Expression in food, dressing, language, etc.

Who raised this blockhead mumu self? You don't know all these?
I had my second degree in university of Lagos, and I can tell you that UNILAG products are better suited to the larger society after graduation anywhere in the world than UNILORIN products. Imagine, lecturers slapping their students in UNILORIN. In 2008-2009 session specifically, a lecturer asked anatomy students to kneel down in the stuffy anatomy laboratory for close to two hours for making noise. Even , you wouldn't do that to kindergartens of standard nursery schools.

Like I said, who raised you? Your mentality is warped. I wonder the magnitude of abuse you must have gone through in growing up. It's ill-brought up folks like you that would embrace such trash.

Back off and stop disgracing yourself.

After explaining one hundred and one reasons why UNIILORIN shouldn't be a 'secondary school' where dress code are strictly guarded he thinks that's the be all and end all of all there is.

You can gather every title and every big shot degree that does not mean you know what works for people and how best they should govern their environment.

Sickos like you withr their over hyped educational background are the ones who tend to feed on such warped narrative that people who attend schools that are not open to Westernised thoughts are 'backward' and hence deserve to be vilified.
You can bark from now till thy kingdom come it won't change any of those things you are remotely suggesting.

I can name several products from that school that have served and still serving this country diligently without any queries but, you a product of such institutions is busy ranting here like a badly programmed robot who. only repeats what he hears not what he has he has consciously thought out himself.

The issue is, are people allowed to dress the way they like?
Yes, but with certain restrictions. The school never said you shouldn't dress the way you want but your dress should be a reflection of what you are there to do.
You don't go into a school dressed like a thug or a slit and say because it's university therefore you have the absolute freedom to do as you like and nobody should question you.
My mumu friend, that can only happen in a zoo not a school environment that is responsible for the intellectual development of people.
You wouldn't know who this works, but I guarantee you that it has worked for those who know what it means to get educated.

You asked who raised me, well, you are in no position to query how I was raised and who raised me because you are too jaundice in your views to fully understand that people are not the same.
And again, it goes to show how egoistic you are;always dropping your degrees at every turn to whoever cares to listen like the typical educated Nigerian with their highly inflated boxed mentality-who has not done anything of note but care more about acquiring degrees that has little or no relevance to the country's development, other than rant over every issue that goes against ever erratic standards.

As for your Moronic rants that are full self praise like an incurable imbecilic orangutan, they don't affect me one bit.
The more you spew you dead brain rejoinders the more it emboldens me in knowing that not everybody that has mastery over a language has really got anything relevant to say no matter how beautifully written they frame their points.
Well, you may keep on with your ranting as long as you like, but be rest assured that you will be having me to contend with. That, I assure you.

What was the name of that useless anatomy lecturer? grin . Finished from that COHS too years back .. Phs dept.. It was the norm. The problem is that they admit kids .. Kids who can't voice out and talk. Kids who are too timid. There was a particular set like that where many of them were very mature and huge. No damn lecturer tried bullshït with them.

With time, the new generation will change.
