It was originally September /October to August. It was changed sometime around 1986-1987 when curriculum was changing from 6-5-4 to 6-3-3-4.

The start and term end dates was reverted to status quo for reasons best known to them!

I remember in 1987 we spent 4 terms in school to change it to Jan-December
