Christ is the reason for the season This is the period some will tell you Jesus never said we should celebrate His birth in the scriptures, simply correct them in love by telling them Jesus did not also say we should not celebrate His birth in the scriptures, even the angels and the wise men celebrated His birth Luke 2:13-14 When they tell you He only said we should celebrate His death, correct them in love by making them know that without His birth, there would be no need for His death. Today is the day we should reflect on the Love God has for us by sending His son to earth to reconcile us back to Him. The blank page between the old testament and the new testament has a meaning, it was a time God did not speak to man kind (the silent or dark age) but the arrival of Jesus changed all that, now we have direct access to the Father through Jesus. As we celebrate, let's preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, remember the needy among us, put smiles on someone face, share that wonderful meal with those who don't have what to eat. Wishing us Merry Christmas and a Happy new year. Maranatha...He cometh soon. |
