The Kano State Hisbah Board has seized and destroyed more than 30 trailer loads of beer. The board’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Adamu Yahaya, disclosed this in a statement in Kano on Tuesday.

Yahaya said that the cartons of beer were destroyed on Monday evening after an interception at Kalebawa on Danbata Road in Dawakin Tofa area.

“The Kano State Law No. 4 of 2004 has banned the manufacture and use of intoxicants in the state. “ Furthermore, an order was given by a magistrates’ court for us to go ahead with the exercise,” the public relations officer said.

I am a Muslim, but I don't know why I think this is very senseless. In short it is very foolish. Kano State government should have taken these to Onitsha where they get drunk everyday and sell at half the market price.

This is all so simple. These hypocrites and drinkers of camel urine should stop being beneficiaries to the billions of naira that is earned from taxing alcoholic products.

BTW it would be unfair if these states also collect from the huge revenues tobacco and alcoholic drinks company pay to the federal govt.

Those brewery companies should stop distributing their product in the north especially kano state to avoid another huge loss because of unfriendly nature to alcohol which they regard as sharia.

Such a huge loss for the company.

The koran forbids very muslim from buying for himself or others Alcohol, selling alcohol to others, working in anywhere they deal or profit from Alcohol peduction or sale, transporting or carrying alcohol, consuming or giving alcohol out to be consumed or sharing in any thing that involves alcahol.
Yet All the so called Sharia compliant states, who the law listedd above applies to, would every month got to Abuja to collect or partake in the sharing of Taxes from Alcohol Brewing companies. Dear Hisba Hypocrite, you should arrest the kano state govt for partaking in sharing of proceeds from Alcohol consumption.

The hypocrisy of these head-slammers will be addressed in due course.
