Russia’s vocal criticism of Israel’s latest air strikes in Syria is a not-so-veiled warning to Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to avoid any unnecessary escalation following US President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out US troops. Israeli fighter jets attacked two Hezbollah bases and alleged missile warehouses on Tuesday, killing several fighters. The Russian Defense Ministry promptly responded by accusing Israel of endangering two civilian flights and praising Syria’s missile defenses. I guess if you were the one manning or in command of any of these cutting-edge Missile Defense Systems and there's an intruder hiding behind the cover of 2 civilian airliners - carrying 100s of innocent passengers, you would just let loose the SAMs and draw upon yourself global outrage by downing these civilian airliners along with the intruding fighter jets and then give NATO their long-sought excuse of invading & balkanizing Syria. I read here before that downing of the Russian plane was because s200 was too old to differentiate between an enemy plane and an innocent one, the s300 is now present and could have easily eliminated, annihilated and assassinated the f16s. |
