so if pastors are relevant.. and being constantly in the house of God..and performing their roles..aren't they entitled to the fruits of the tithe.
hmm, back then there was nothing like money..but here now it is the commodity in circulation that's of high value.. you don't give God what doesn't cost or is of value to you... if you don't want to give money use the money buy a house, cow etc and offer it to God

You say pastors should go and earn a living by working just as others do. Who will now tend to the house of God? If a pastor gets a 9 to 5 job, things won't go smoothly in the house of God. Imagine he lives in Ogba and works in lekki, it means he will miss mid-week services due to traffic or his boss delaying him. What you are saying now is that pastors who work don't full-time are lazy and thieves. That means Peter and the other apostles of Jesus Christ who were full-time bishops in the house of God were thieves as well. It was only Paul and Barnabas that worked. It was easy for them because they didn't pastor any church but were evangelists. They also had no wife nor kids to cater for. Even Paul said those who preach the gospel can live of the Gospel.

God uses firstfruits to cater for the pastor who feeds you all with spiritual milk. Out of your greediness, you want the pastor to starve or perhaps the Gospel to shrink with no one to propagate it.

2 Thessalonians 3:6-18 said against your first paragraph pastor

You don't understand what increase means. Perhaps you think it means an increase in salary. No.

Increase as used in the verse is talking about any addition to your pocket, this includes Monthly additions which you receive as salary. So your January and other monthly salary should have ten percent paid to God.

Stop being greedy and give unto God what belongs to God else you will be robbing him. Even when there's no hardship, you will still not pay God a dime. After paying 10%, God will ensure you love better with the 90% left than you would with the whole 100%.

No pastor has deviced any means to take money from you. It is God who said you should pay it.

You're very cunny. You bolded first fruit but not the INCREASE next to it. How can a person earning an amount in 2018 and January 2019 he/she still earns same, will you say that person has an increase? So if someone earns 20k and he has a family and no other means of income, he gives you all his January salary you will accept it.

The Nigerian version of Christian god is always hungry for money. He's never ever satisfied. This same January he's asking for your first money, he still wants your tithe, he still wants your offering, he will still lay it in your pastor's heart to raise seeds and funds.
