Hello guys. This is my ECG Analysis report.

I'm not a medical person but I'm very skeptical about this result and I'm thinking of going for another one in private hospital.

*
Doctors and experienced people in the house, Do you think this result will hinder my progress or would you advise against getting another ECG report. Please help

Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by ugo4u: 12:54pm On Jan 01, 2019
Word of advice to all candidates, tell the medical personnel doing the ECG to help you interpret it, if it is not normal, corner them to help you doctor it even if it means to take the ECG of a healthy person na naija Una dey oo use una head. Not everything you will get on nairaland.
PS: The disadvantage is if you are not healthy and eventually selected you might not survive bthe training oo.

The thing is the machine they use for us here in Africa Is exactly what they use for the whites.

It always comes out normal ECG for the white but for the blacks it's always abnormal ECG

So if you go with normal ECG, even the doctors will laugh

But you can still tell them to make it normal

Are there doctors here to confirm what I just said

Sometimes that auto report might be incorrect. It needs to be manually reported by a specialist. I won't advise you take this ECG report there without a proper reporting by a specialist. Note that ECG reporting is very technical and not all doctors can do it. If the doctors at the screening can't read an ECG well, they'll depend on that auto-report and trust me you will be shown your way outta the gates immediately because the report there shows it might be risky to put you through the military exercises.

I'm not trying to scare you or discourage you. This is what you should do. Go to a diagnostic centre where you're sure they have someone who reports an ECG. Get the result and report. If satisfactory proceed for the recruitment but if status quo my bro ill advise you sit.... because of possibility of the heart seizing to work when subjected to strenous exercises.

You can ask more questions where not clear

I humbly disagree with the above statements.
ECG isn't sensitive to race or genes. It's purely a recording of the electrical activity of the heart

Lol. It's our work o. Soft work.
Every line and curve there has what it denotes. All those big boxes and small boxes connotes timings and waves discharged by the heart all those Roman numerals and Vs have what they represent. All these are put together to make the reporting.
It's very technical and gives headaches if one isn't grounded in the knowledge

Remember that in the application guideline it was stated.. But in the requirements for interview it wasnt

So if you want to go with only requirements in newspaper, you can as well not go with your parent attestation and local government attestation

Hope you get what am driving at

What does Abnormal T wave mean in ECG report?

In a normal ECG, the T wave is normally upright in leads I, II, and V3 to V6 then inverted in lead aVR and variable in leads III, aVL, aVF, V1, and V2.

Check your ECG report. If the T wave in leads I, II and leads V3-V6 are upright and lead lead aVR is inverted then know that you are good to go.

Felt Like Dropping This For Someone
We should be actually extremely grateful that somethings don't work out the way we once wanted them to. When we get rejected, or we fail or things don't go our way, we feel we are further away from our goal. But sometimes it's in those moments that we have the greatest opportunity to Reflect, Refuel & Refocus. It's in those moments that feel like the depth of our dreams, that our truest potential is actually taking birth.Often we're trying to climb ladders that are not ours to climb. Is your dream really your dream? Are you chasing what you truly want?
In our pain we find our greatest power. Success is not built on success, it is built on failure, it is built on frustration, it is built on fears that you have to conquer, sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand. Everytime we think we've being rejected from something good, remember you might just be redirected to something better.
Cheer up!!! Never give up.
