'Go and surrender' - Nigerians tell Melaye as he shares video of attack on him

"It may be Melaye today!! Who knows?" - Senator Dino Melaye says.


Senator Dino Melaye who went into hiding has released some photos and a video showing the last attack on him.



Sharing the video, the controversial senator wrote:


"Short video of the last attack on me by the police where six armed Civil Defence Personel escorting me were arrested and disarmed and yet imaginary thugs fired. We all await the Judgement of God."

Then sharing pictures of his car that was shot at, he said..

" The attack by the police on my Bullet proof Jeep that they are trying to turn round Now. God is not a man"

Meanwhile Nigerians have continued to react to the Dino Melaye Vs Police saga. While some have encouraged him, others have asked him to surrender to the police to stop himself from further embarrassment.


Oloniyo Babatope @oloniyobabatope told the senator:

"Proof your innocence at the court, do the needful surrender and forget about tweeting updates,this can't absolve you of the allegations!"

"Please put yourself together and submit for Justice honourably. With all your claimed evidences, they seemingly look enough to set you free. As Senator of Federal Republic you don't have to be afraid of police or court."

In a country like Nigeria under the present regime, even if you are innocent, you will still feel reluctant on going to be police because we all know what they are capable of.

Its better for him to go to police though, but you linking him with a criminal makes no sense.

People asking him to surrender are dumb. This is a government that arrested someone, was forced to release him, arrested him again and has refused to release him, despite court orders to release him. Even if Dino is guilty, he is innocent until the court finds him guilty. How will you surrender to the police when you know this people and its government don't respect court orders?

I don't think he is a coward. If Deji Adeyanju had hid like Dino, he wouldn't be suffering in police custody, despite court granting him freedom.
