I trade 5 figures and I can tell you the psychology at that level is different

I take max of 4 trades a month,picking trends on daily and charts and using 4hr and 1hr for entry

Thinking out loud here; Not a good idea to take all buy and sell signals dished out buy your indicators.

Some filters; When you get a buy signal at ADR high, more often than not, the trade won't work out, opposite for sell.

I don't know how I can help with this; FIND the NOW trend, and trade with it but don't forget the MAJOR trend... Best entries are when your NOW trend is in sync with MAJOR trend.

Thanks for this advice. Looks like the retracement call I made earlier was false. I shouldn't have bought, I should have allowed my sell order to keep enjoying the ride. Thanks once again. I will learn, thank goodness for the availability of demo accounts.

The funny thing about this topic is that most people know the truth but their pipe dreams and hopes keep making them "support" these big returns..I remember when Ogboraph turned $50 to $500 in a week or so.. People came out to hail him and support him and making snide remarks at those trying to caution him. What happened after? He crashed the account in days.

Again, nobody is saying it is not possible or that there isn't some superhumans making 10,000% a year somewhere. Can YOU do it CONSISTENTLY?

Nothing will ever beat trading without excess expectations or pressure..

Yep.. Got a few trades on those and some others..Really huge way to start the month.. Move expected to spread across three weeks happening in one day.. Expecting some strong retracements to add more but still holding for now..

That moment you truly understand how the forex market works. Then you will know for real that just anything is doable consistently. The market repeats the same thing every now and then. The noise, distraction prevent so many of us from identifying the true picture.
The news, the indicators, the what have you...
Each and every struggling trader is his or her own monster.

Seems the GJ, EJ target will be met by tomorrow and I was thinking of next week.

A trader should strive to learn, re-learn, take it step by step. I am not encouraging over trading as it will not help you but am saying when one understands this market, then even with conservative trading, you will still make a wow return. Thats one of the strength of fx.

For those that are new, I challenge you to explore as many systems as possible. As many indicators as possible. It's fun and interesting. But make the charts your friend. Do not trade too many pairs. Focus on less. Do not over trade too. Your chances of going unhurt is low.
Think and rethink. Sleep chart and dream chart. Your instinct will help you to discover so much that no one can teach you.

I expect it to reach monthly S2 before retracement which could happen by tomorrow.

First target on EJ triggered. Second trade on EJ entered but it seems the world has ended cos market just froze.

Why the sudden increase on the spread by brokers this time around? I understand it's a general thing. What's the cause? Opportunity to take some profit and run on EJ lost.

My brother, come and see lamentations on a forex telegram group I belong. So many accounts have been blown up just because of this little drama. Use stop loss they will not listen.

When things like this happen eh, stop loss might not help too because it's either price will jump and your broker platform will malfunction or frozen.... So that's why we need to think in a unique way. Even to take profit will be challenging....thats the world of fx for you. Think smart... Think outside of the traditional rules you are told. Let the rules guide you but think uniquely

Either your broker's platform will malfunction, frozen, or not, the best thing to do still is to set a protective stop loss on every trade. If the traditional rules I'm being taught are what is going to protect and sustain my capital, then it's better I stick to it.
