Introducing Minus 25 Degrees! I Visited The Ice City! by flyca(op):
Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang Provence in Northern China. Popularly called The Ice City. And here, presenting to you pictures of my visit to the city.

The city has the most bitterly cold winters among major Chinese cities having daytime temperature at an average of -15 degress and night time temperature as low as -30 degrees!

Re: Introducing Minus 25 Degrees! I Visited The Ice City! by flyca(op):
In winter, daytime in Harbin is about 8 hours, from 7am to 3-4pm. Then it gets dark. The streets of the city is decorated with many beautiful carvings made on Ice.

Ice and Snow World.
An Amusement Park with many Ice Castles.
Gate Fee approx 18k.

Re: Introducing Minus 25 Degrees! I Visited The Ice City! by flyca(op):
Frozen Lake Amusement Park.
Free entry into the park but you pay for entertainment.

The 3rd and 4th pictures are pictures of the (SongJiang) lake. It freezes complete during the winter and it is converted temporarily to an amusement park.

Dressing and Food.
Wear as much as clothes as possible, also warm hat, scarf, thick gloves, socks, shoes.

For me, I wore 2 pairs of woolen socks, 3 pants, four tops(inner long-sleeve tuttle neck vest, 2 sweaters and a down coat).

For your shoes, it should be skidproof because in Harbin there is much ice on the road.
Then put a warming pad on in your socks.

I still felt cold anyway. My fingers were red and sore. Harbin is cold

#Sth interesting about Harbin☃ cheesy

There is a very special phenomenon---in winter, people don't need a refrigerator to store their goods. Instead, they put everything outdoors--as a natural refrigerator.

Also if you walk on the street in winter night of Harbin, you will see frozen popsicles, ice cream, persimmons and all kinds of food sold there and they taste really nice!

That's my person! I've never been to Harbin. Having transversed the length and breadth of this large country, Harbin is one of the frontiers I'm yet to visit. Would have loved to visit this winter but wifey thought the weather would be too extreme for our daughter. I'm longing for the breathtaking experience of Harbin!

Bros, how many people do you want me to be with? If I post certain pics now, people like you will still scream ”showoff”, “intimidation”, nyenyenye.
Now take a careful look at the pictures attached.
And bounce off!

Watched a documentary on this city 3 days ago.
So beautiful.
These people make cool cash every year thanks to ice.
U see, we can harness anything around us for our own pleasure and benefits if we think deep. Hmm.

Justwise( at least I knew he is a moderator), please can you help here?

Thanks jare, this is what baffles me most about such events. What is ice? Water! Just water! And they are cashing out on it big time. Imagine making 18k from 300,000 visitors, Jeeez! shocked

Also, do you know that in summer, early enough, they make casts of these castles, pass neon decorative lights through the casts and wait for summer cold, so that snow will fall and form shapes! Diligence makes for progress.

My people my people.
Chukxie / Aminho - I sight you both kiss

Are you saying that God does not like them?

Lemme flip that sentence for you:
Harbin my Harbin, God loves us, see people living inside Sun.

Does it make sense?

Year of the Pig.
I hear it won't be a particularly good year for doing business, but if one's lucky one can make it big.
