If we all agree that she’s not in charge of collation either at state level or at national level, what then is the outcry all about?

PDP should rejig their failing campaign and stop grasping at straw. If the “Atiku plan” and “make Nigeria work again” messages are not resonating with the people, they should dig deep and come up with something more sensible. Attacking an innocent woman for no reason won’t win them the next election.

Sir, the exact relationship with Mrs Amina Zachary' has with the president doesn't matter. What matters is that there is a (filial ) relationship in the first place. A referee or match official should not be related to any of the competing coaches or players. If discovered and reported, such official should be replaced because there are more than 1001 qualified people who can hold such srnsitive position. Otherwise, we cannot rule out sentimental partiality. Frankly speaking, Mrs Amina Zachary can be posted elsewhere but not to anything related to the 2019 Presidential elections. BTW, was it not for this same reason (her relationship with the president) that she was replaced as INEC Chairperson in the first instance? Must she be involved in the 2019 Presidential elections?

INEC is responsible for conducting the 2019 general elections. All staff of the commission are directly or indirectly involved in the conduct of the election. She is a national commissioner for crying out loud. How can a national commissioner be completely excluded from participation in all the election processes?

There is a reason why in addition to presidential nomination, INEC chairman, national commissioners and REC’s must also be confirmed by the senate. Once they go through the confirmation stage, they can’t be removed until the expiration of their tenure except by the two third of the senate acting on a request from the president.

how many nationals commissioners do we have in INEC? Is the the only one that can head that committee? Why make her a head of a sensitive committee in an election her relation is contesting?

Please can you tell us why Mrs Amina Zachary was removed as INEC Chairperson and replaced with professor Mahmood Yakoob? Why are APC supporters bent on the woman staying put? Is she the only qualified person that can hold such a sensitive position? If a party to a case complains about the doubtful impartiality of an arbiter, does common sense and a sense of justice not denand that you respect the feelings of the complainant? Unless and except there is an ulterior motive.

All activities of INEC are sensitive. I guess the only situation that will satisfy you is if she’s sacked from the commission. Even at that, you will look for other things to wail about as usual.

INEC is independent of political parties. We should allow them to conduct their activities without attempting to influence or jeopardize their independence. We should stop running down public officers and public institutions unfairly simply because of politics.

The way most of react to this issue is very appalling, be it blood or mutual friends relationship, for both of them to have a link at all she ought not to be near anything concerning the 2019 elections, it's a serious conflict of interest, we may joke about it but it's not good for this country.

We all should be very careful the kind of precedence we are taking sides with, because if this is allowed to fly, I then you shouldn't expect to see PMB children and wife as Minister's and what have you, then the wife or son will take over from him when he leaves office.
