So, I visited a Kazeem’s workshop yesterday, because I needed him to help me with some tasking jobs I couldn’t do all by myself. Suddenly, I noticed a black colored 2005 Honda CR-V, with its hood(bonnet) popped up. I don’t know why I decided to take a peek at it’s engine bay, but what I saw, was regrettably lugubrious.(in Dr Patrick’s voice). grin

Hence, I thought I should share with y’all. The funny part is that, right there in my presence, the Kazeem called the owner of the vehicle, to inform him about the deadly state of the engine. But, the owner got pissed and reminded the Kazeem of his need to focus more on the main complaints....which is ‘oil leakage’....I don’t know how the story ended, but I’m sure this engine is a ticking Bomb...precisely a C4, cheesy

waiting to explode. angry

Lol...sure as hell. I’m not sure that car can cover another 10miles without something drastic happening. From the pictures, you can see that the camshaft, as well as the timing chain, are both dry. The oil pump supplies oil, but the intense sludge no longer allows this oil to get to most parts of the engine.

simple solution, soak engine in hypo and Ariel and watch all the dirty and yama yama dissappear. engine will now be good as new.

This car will appear shortly on jiji and auto section as used by a woman for 6 months in Nigeria.
How can one even know the true state of such an engine without removing the valve cover or sump?

What is d solution Auto gurus. I was made to know that washing off the sludge with petrol or solvents will kill d engine and lead to oil shortage

Car used by an ex minister's wife.... was never driven....

yet the plate no and paint have been soaked in danfo paint and the interior looks like a place where someone tried to kill a domestic cat with s knife and locked the windows......

I am getting a special camera with a scope this will be used for vehicle Pre-inspection purchases and general jobs in the workshop.

- 2019 Aunty Radu mineral oil grin

The 1st 96k miles na for palour dem drive am, so na factory oil still dey inside grin

This one even looks good. I once saw the internal of a Volkswagen jetta engine in Ikoku there. The sludge in there was like coal tar. sad
