Please house, does anyone have any response for me? And those that used Naira Debit Mastercard, which bank's card did you use pls? I've tried GTB and Access with no success. Someone please response

UPDATE
I was eventually able to pay using my Access bank Visa card. I guess the problem was that of insufficient fund. Anyone trying to use ICES can fund and try making payment with Naira Debit card.

Good morning House and good job everyone for given us hope. Please is there anybody in the house who did ECA with ICES for OAU transcript? I decided to use ICES and currently trying to get my transcript. A friend of mine making enquiries on my behalf was told sending of electronic transcript to ICES will cost N17,500 even though this is not my first time of obtaining it. I finished 2009

Pls if there's anyone who was in my shoes and can share important info, kindly do because I think it shouldn't be that expensive.

Has anybody made payment to ICES using an alternative means to a credit card because I don't seem to have any one around me who has a credit card I can borrow.

Also, is it safe to use regular mail instead of courier to save cost.

Abeg, help a brother.

UPDATE
I was eventually able to pay using my Access bank Visa card. I guess the problem was that of insufficient fund. Anyone trying to use ICES can fund and try making payment with Naira Debit card.

OUTSTANDING
Any comment from the great Ife{s} in the house please?

Good evening family, please I am new in this trend. I haven't started anything. I have some questions to ask please?
Note: I haven't completed my masters, though I have submitted for final defence, same with my husband.
1. If I have 8777 and he has 6, 6.5,6,7.5 in IELTS
2. With 6 yrs work experience
3. Age: Early 33
4. My CRS gives 446

We all know that as of yesterday the cut off point increased to 449.

So am suggesting I start French lesson. I need to get a desirable score in six months, by then I will be through with masters and ECA at least, that is if ASU calls of the strike early enough.

My questions are
1) since this TEF is expensive, am new in French. Do you think I can make it before then? Cos I need to write it just once.

2)What should I start with? I haven't written the IELTS though. I haven't started the preparation either.
What do you think Dearies?

Hello House,

Apologies if this question has been answered before.

- Please is it only one (1) police report that is needed for a family application?
- What are the names of recommended hospitals for medicals in Lagos? Any idea the amount for a family of three (3)?

Appreciate your responses.

Not necessarily. There are ways around this for example investing in money market funds e.t.c.

There's more info on packaging POF and whatnot if you carefully peruse page 1

Qlife is way cheaper and the cost difference is even more clearly seen when it's a family. However, getting an appointment with Qlife isn't the easiest thing in the world because they have a backlog. I heard that now with ITA, you can get an appointment on a date that's still within the 60days timeframe sha. Finally you'll have to weigh the options and choose which of the two centres is better for you.

Palominopeaches:

Nice one dear. But please I quickly wanna ask, why do you prefer Qlife to IOM. I wanna do mine so I want to know which one to go with.

Dear, first I think 446 will get you ITA almost immediately or in btw 3 successive draws. Second,
why not target an 0.5 increase on either of your Listening or Writing(or even both)? That will give you btw 449 and 452 resp. I feel TEF is not needed in your case at all

Hello All,

A married colleague of mine got ITA yesterday and she just realized that she made a mistake when she was about to continue her application.

The surname she used was her maiden name instead of her husband's name as this is what appears on her international passport. Should she continue with her application and explain in her LOE or withdraw and re-enter the pool?

I will appreciate any useful advice.

Thanks

Hobyno:

IMO I would suggest she declines the ITA correct the name and enter back into the pool so as to avoid plenty LOE

Ahaaa....decline the ITA kee because she used her maiden name to create profile which tallies with the name on her international passport....

Bros, fear God ooo! grin

@Op, for the sake of the precious ITA, better advice your colleague to follow the advise that Ifeoma had earlier given. She can regularise the name-ish much later into the process.

It will end in praise IJN!

I wanted to PM you but this one your profile says no PM. Anyways I just wanted to keep in touch with someone who used CES. I have used their contact form to send a message a day ago. Still no reply. Would you mind I contact you subsequently via email or WhatsApp, so I know I am not left alone?

Good day everyone.

Just got ITA and need some assistance with the following questions.

1. Is there any problem if your job overlaps with your education in personal history? If yes, I believe a LOE will suffice?
2. Under Travel History - I was asked if any of my family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. (required) - My elder sister is currently based in Ivory Coast, is that a yes?

Thank you.

I believe the family in this case refers to couple and depended immigrating with you.
It does not apply to your sister or brother.

Not yet dear..

Transcript arrived 20th December

ohk. The thing is that a friend of mine called them last month, and asked ICES if they'll accept statement of results in lieu of certificate, and they told him they won't, that if they don't get a certificate they'll just abandon the application.

But then again on their website they wrote a transcript can be sufficient enough to complete an evaluation. So I don't understand them at all
