I'm totally against the abuses and all perpetrated by the reverred musician but I opine thus:

All those folks were benefitting from him all those years and kept quiet. Now, they aren't getting those benefits anymore and they saw how the Cosby affair went so they congregated and made a video out of it and are now playing the victim.

If they're as honest as they claim to be, they should have sacrificed those benefits and spoken up right away. Secondly, I daresay that it's the parent's fault when a minor is exposed to abuse in such a manner.

Anyways, I still got respect for the king of Rnb, I only wonder how he managed to look past all the matured folk who would do anything to spend one night with him and settle for high school kids.

Innocent until proven guilty. No matter the emotions and theatrical display, never trust women when it comes to sexual abuse/assault if there is no shred of evidence to back up their claims. If you see the manner and number of false rape allegations and the damages it has wrecked on many men, you will fear women. So if there is no evidence, discard their claims like it never happened. Thanks to false rape accusers, no one takes the mere complaint of real victims seriously.

I think the monsters are people who accuse someone and go ahead to pronounce him guilty without giving him a chance to defend himself or recourse to due process like taking him to court or presenting whatever "evidence" they have to law enforcement to prosecute him. Those are the real monsters here. A universally accepted legal maxim says Audi alterem patem, always give both sides a fair hearing before passing judgement

Very dumb comment.
The court doesn't determine innocence.

It either convicts or acquits based on available evidence.
It is funny when rapist who escaped prison always talk about false allegations
when anyone with a brain cell knows that convicting a person with a good lawyer
is very difficult regardless of the crime.

The good news is that life will become more difficult for rapists going forward as
paying victims to keep quiet will no longer work as they would take the money and
still come forward on time when the evidence is still fresh.

Am actually shocked by the reactions that an "allegation" is generating esp from well educated celebrities who should know that one is innocent until the person is pronounced guilty!

Same happened to Star actor Steven seagal who was accused last year by a lady to have sexually abused her 30 years ago....ofcourse steven seagal denied it and the story has died a natural death since then!

The worse is the daughter who should have kept silent rather than saying what she doesn't know simply because of the hatred she has for her father as seen in the post!

I still remember a picture message I saw some years ago about a football player who was accused of sexually assaulting a lady and was jailed!
After 12 years,this same lady goes to court asking the judge to drop the charges and acquit the football player!
Her reason was that she had lied all this time and the player never raped her!
You can imagine how the guy felt after spending 12 years in prison for a crime that he never committed!

I am not in any way trying to condone sexual abuse from anyone....however,we must be very careful how we react to accusations from rape victims....Let the court do their job!
