Lol...catholics don't progress in life? I think the inverse is the case. Look at all the Christian Nations that are doing excellently well, a great majority of them are catholics. Even in Nigeria here, you'd see almost all catholic churches (no matter how remote the area is) have gigantic edifices with very large parking spaces (even at that, cars would still litter all around the roadside). Who built those churches? It's the successful parishioners that always contribute to build them and also contribute to the poor and less privileged around them.

Do you even know that it is the same Catholic church that compiled the bible you're arguing about? And after that, interpreted it for use in various languages.The original manuscripts are still at the Vatican.

Try reading the history of catholic in wikipedia then you will understand me more. The name catholic was first used in 110 AD which means universal when the church was one indivisible entity. The other orthodox church you are mentioning broke out from Rome. Anyway I get ur point though.
