If you knew the Governor heading the present administration, his antecedents plus what he has achieved in less than three years as the custodian of the State's resources trust me, you'd retract the statement above.

The governor won't need to waste his time and Funds campaigning for a second tenure...

You don't just sit your ass somewhere and jump on every bandwagon of criticism because it sounds like a fad to crucify and nail govt. all the time. You can do well to think things through independently on your own before drawing any conclusions.

Do you base in Edo to start with? the present administration in Edo has been able to a very large extent reduce wastage in governance and recurrent expenditures are promptly accounting for. from the look of things here in Edo, the state have vast fertile land laying fallow hence the governor need to travel and woo investors. my opinion

It was an okay deal during his party's reign when funds were budgeted for travels and shared amongst themselves with no trips made as proposed.

They haven't cried yet...no more free or share the money. We have vast fallow lands in Edo. You guys should go farming and get productive for once.

My comment above is not to justify the amount budgeted as right or wrong using PDP's tenure as a yard stick, it is simply to say that, while the same budget provisions were made in the PDP era the purposes for which such provisions were made which in this case is for International travels to attract foreign investors were zilch and instead the monies shared amongst themselves. With this present administration, do well to find anyone following Edo and it's politics, you'd find an unbiased review on how the present administration is like none before it and ably commandeered by a man who knows his onions and a strict administrator.

I, as a person ve never seen any foreign investors in edo state. Just immagine how thousands of people in edo state cant even find common garri to drink i edo state. Thousands graduates ve been jobless and this selfish man is budgeting 7BILLION NAIRA for overseas trip for a year. Mathematically, this 7billion equivalent 19MILLION naira per day. Which will feed all the indigenes of edo state per day. Oh! Bro, up until now I tell it the way I see it believe me. It has absolutely nothing to do with meeting Obaseki, if the guys complaining about this Obaseki's government (obviously the PDP guys) had done a tad better than what he presently is doing, they sure would have been justified in their calling outs.

The reason why it'd appear to you that I am becoming more of Obaseki is my applauding how he has been able to plug in most of the loop holes from whence the state treasury was constantly being plundered while coming up with innovative projects and programmes for the state. It gets easy to decipher this when the career politicians whose only known jobs is sharing the money begin to complain as a result of a cut in their usual supply lines.

The amount purported to have been budgeted is indeed a humongous sum but I'll still take it with a pinch until I am faced with the documents and side notes plus previous budgets on the same line item right from the days of the PDP for a better comparison.
