Bros I know the importance of coolant, coolant is very very important but using coolant will not solve 50% of overheating problem.. Infact I doubt if changing from water to coolant will solve any overheating issue already present..

Genuine coolant should boil at a higher temperature than water anywhere any time sir

[s]One of the objective of the link is to point out the importance of using coolant.. Now in the developed countries, people are much aware of the importance of using coolant. Or better yet you can easily go to any mechanic and get your car fix compare to Nigeria, whereby anybody is a mechanic without license..
Since certain things are in place in the developed world. They don't have issues like they do in Africa example fake, parts ,quark mechanic etc. So car problems might be different example again people say in Nigeria that Honda accord has "leg pull" it is only in Nigeria that have heard about that been major problem not to buy accord. How does that relate to coolant issue in Nigeria.. Nigeria as a whole lack good maintenance culture, even most of the mechanics are not left out So those factors will contribute for certain car issues to arise that will normally wouldn't be a big deal elsewhere.. When majority of car owners and mechanics prefer water than coolant.. Are u aware most Nigerians don't know type of oil grades that their cars take? To them oyel na oyel.. Why do you think car parts is huge business in Nigeria.. Africans or Nigerian are one of the major contributors of high costs of car parts in the USA in terms of exporting parts out of the USA..
So in the Nigerian environment the major causes or one of major causes of car overheating is lack of coolant, developed countries don't have much of that problem when comparing it to Nigeria.. I can bet you that if you do a study, Nigeria cars will have more sludge problem than American cars.[/s]
