Pan- Yoruba sociopolitical organisation, Afenifere on Monday said the ordeal of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Onnoghen in the hands of the Muhmmadu Buhari administration did not come to it as a surprise.
Speaking with Daily Independent, Yinka Odumakin, the organisation’s National Publicity Secretary having given judgment against President Buhari in the past, the President is not comfortable with Onnoghen as the CJN fearing that constitutional issues might arise which may be resolved by the Supreme Court.
“We are not surprised because given the fact that Onnoghen is from the five percent part of Nigeria and not from 97, President Buhari could not have been comfortable with him as the Chief Justice of Nigeria fearing that issues might arise constitutionally and it has to go through the Supreme Court”.
“Don’t forget that Justice Onnoghen once gave judgment against Buhari in the past in one of the tribunals. So, clearly, if President Buhari had his way, he will prefer to have a CJN from Daura as we go to this election” he said.

That seems to be the case because I can't understand what the urgency Is all about. Buhari or Jubrin always takes his time. In fact Kemi had like 6 months to prepare to leave and was escourted safely by federal security operatives. Same with babachir who is currently campaigning for Buhari.
