The governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has described the public sector pay in the state as disgraceful.

He, therefore, promised that if elected into office as governor in the state, his first priority would be to fix the public sector pay.

He assured that workers would get more pay once he assumes office as governor.

Gbadamosi, who made the promise at the recently held governorship debate, noted that there was a massive gap between what public sector workers are paid and the kind of services they are expected to offer.

“The first thing I am going to be looking at very quickly is public sector pay. What we pay our civil servants and what we demand from them, there is a massive gulf between the two.

This man is sound, unfortunately Tinubu factors won't let him get there. Tinubu has held Lagos hostage, a lot of work needs to be done to break the shackle.

Just like a lot work needs to be done to break the sha3of APC and PDP in Nigeria

Most political thugs and lower party faithfuls in Lagos earn more than Civil Servants. It is among a few cities in the world where one man determines how a state is governed. You only find such in south America cities once oppressed by Pablo Escoba, El Chapo, or currently by Drug cartels.

Public sector in Lagos?
Abeg, I don't know if it's the illegal pay that's making them rich, but those guys are rich, irrespective of the cadre compared to other states

It's very very poor... I know a friend who earns 40k working with one of the ministries in Lagos. How is he going to afford the expensive rent in Lagos State? Lagos civil servants shud know that as long asJagaban still holds the state to ransom there will be no change. I like Sanwo Olu as an individual But for the fact that he is going to be a potential stooge to tinubu I wud prefer another credible candidate.

Civil servants already make a killing via corrupt stuffz even with their crappy services. Civil servants who want to make money should join private sector. Kapish.

Yes, they are better paid comapsred to any state in Nigeria and they are also very corrupt like their counterparts elsewhere in the country.
