In a trending footage posted online, the young man and the masquerade can be seen flogging themselves in the middle of the road as villagers gathered to be entertained. 

The crowd shouted at the sounds of the hot lashes during the flogging battle. 

The man and the masquerade were later stopped when it appeared the contest wanted to get out of hand.
