YoungLionken:He isn't copying his fathers style of music. His father taught him Afro-beat. U can "copy" a genre of music but u can't "copy" personality |

YoungLionken:Mumu pikin like you. Where and how did he rubbish anything? How many great artist's children have you seen achieve what their father achieved? Where are Bob marley's children today, what has Michael Jackson's children achieved so far, Lucky Dube's children, I can go on and on. At least Femi has been able to achieve much in his right. Your father did not achieve anything notable, you have not achieved anything notable, yet you think you have earned the right to come here with your inconsequential life and lack of home training to talk rubbish. |

[quote author=my2019mind post=74806762]Mumu pikin like you. [/quote Those children didn't achieve half of their fathers greatness but they also kept their mouth shut... Fela is somebody that we all hold in high esteem irrespective of the religion, tribe, region. Somebody alot of people wants to be like. Femi directly or indirectly disrespected his father and reduce the morale of Fela's admirers by making such statement incase you don't know... Birds of a feather, flock together.. Imagine you insulting my father just as Femi did, smh. For your info, not all rich men are famous. My dad is wealthy if yours is not. And I have boys working under me and you still think we(my loving dad and I) not achieved nothing. I would have given you our family name to google search but I won't. Since you and your family haven't achieved nothing, you can continue to assume for others. What a dweeb! |

Fela remains, even in death, Africa's greatest music export. He's irreplaceable, Femi knows this and keeps telling everyone who cares to listen that there can never be another Fela! |

YoungLionken:It is because of people like you that he find it hard to keep his mouth shut, because you won't keep your own mouth shut. You are the one having the problem of misinterpreting what he said. He simply told you that he is not his father, what can be more right than that. His father is Fela, he is Femi, they were both created for different times and for different purposes. He has tried the best that he can for his father's legacy by keeping the shrine going and promoting Afro beat to the world in his own capabilities. Most of Femi's songs are actually aimed at the ills in the system, just like his father's. What more do you want from him. He is not his father, that does not rubbish Fela, that simply means they both have different purposes in life, allow Femi to pursue his own purpose and stop over burdening him. You have no right what so ever to insult him by calling him incompetent, he is someone's father as well. You sound like an educated person, so I expect you to be more enlightened on issues like this. |

YoungLionken:Like they said in a famous Panadol advert, "if e no b panadol, e no fit b like Panadol." That statement is more true when dealing with humans. Every human being has his own unique personality. No two human beings are d same not even twins. No matter how u dress twins up, no matter how long they interact with each other, they are still different people, with different tastes, different perception to life, different goals e.t.c. no one can copy fela. Fela was fela. Femi is femi. They are two different human beings. Our personality is what makes us unique, distinct& special as human beings. It is what makes us different from each other. U can't copy that no matter how hard u try. That's what femi is saying |
