Good morning people,

Please I have a problem that needs to be dealt with urgently. I need advice from legal experts on this matter.

Sometime last year in May precisely, I was posted from the Southwest to the Northeast to open a new command of my organization (it is a federal government agency). I was not given a posting letter. The only document that was issued I have is the posting instruction that was sent from Abuja. I had never been to that part of the country but I obeyed the order anyway as I was already been threatened that my salary would be stopped and I would be issued a query if I didn't report. So I picked my a few clothing and relocated up North with immediate effect.

Now according to the public service rules, I am entitled to 28 days allowance that would enable me settle down and find accommodation as soon as I got here. But I did not receive a single Kobo from my agency. On arriving at the Northeast, I was directed to go and meet a director of the state agency of the organization I work with. Other officers like me were arriving in batches too. We were given a small office which we had to convert to a room and we slept on a mat for weeks. At this point I need to point out that I had just paid my rent for my apartment in Lagos in March, so I could not afford to get another apartment at my new state of posting. Still, we did not receive any allowance from my organization.

After about a month, we all started applying for our allowances as the place we were given to sleep was not even befitting for people to sleep in. Till today, we haven't gotten any kind of payment relating to the posting.

Please learned people of Nairaland, I need advice on what steps to take as I am becoming less motivated and frustrated as the days pass. I want to make a big case out of this if it is possible as I didn't post myself up here, neither did I request for any kind of posting to this place. I left the comfort of my own home that I have labored to arrange to my taste and comfort style, only to be sent up North to start my life all over again without my allowances being paid. I plan to sue my organization. I need advice on how to go about this.

Any ideas please
