I see many black people causing the tradition of their ancestors of old, but they cherish the religion of the European and Arabs that enslaved them for many years physically... today, the chain has been passed to their brain.. so sad...mental slavery is real, free yourself from it..... study your history more thsn mathematics and English....

The Ooni of Ife should choose he this day whom he shall serve. Today he's in church, tomorrow he's in the shrine. He can't be lukewarm

Haha If God himself should show you see where your pastors have been you go fear.

Dude, I think you should rethink your "study your history more than mathematics". It is this kind of mentality which keeps the black race backward.
Study mathematics more than anything else, more than religion or history or whatever, maths is the key to the future and to better understanding the past. Maths is greater than anything else in this world. What you should have said is that blacks should stop trying to act white by copying whiteman culture and religion.

Outsiders start analysing culture using their standards ( ethnocentrisms ) which leads to criticism and cultural appropriation ( theft without acknowledging the source).

It's better to keep anyone out of your culture for peace of mind and peacefully grow.

Outsider particularly white ( western ) never do any good to any culture as observers. Instead they wanna impose theirs and brainwash people to believe that it's bad. Hence you see Eastern religion/culture ( Buddhism, Hindu, Temel) stood all the test of times. They excluded outsiders particularly white people.

Us Africans we like sharing our secrets with outsiders and which opens up infiltration and eventually decay of culture.

Africans, close your systems ( religions and culture )

stop typing bullshyt . when was the last time you visited a shrine? You dont practice the faith yourself and you are telling us to stop sharing our secrets.

my brother. Those we helped reform into civilized societies don't have respect for their ancestors any longer. At least the oba of Lagos still know where to pay Homage.

Actually, not all polytheistic religions sacrificed humans. Many only sacrificed animals.

Human sacrifice today has been substituted by animal sacrifice wherever it was done. Human sacrufices were not free citizens but captured slaves of other nations (POWs) ans criminals. Back then it was the norm to kill them anyways. Now however it is irrelevant.
