Dear Nairalanders,

Since the #NotTooYoungToRun bill was passed, we have seen an increase in the number of young people declaring their candidacy for political positions.

Are we surprised? We shouldn't be.The largest black country in the world is blessed with Human, Material and natural resources. What we enjoy, the likes of UAE, China, Japan etc lack yet our young ones flee to these countries to have access to better finances, quality of education and life.

We have all it takes to succeed but we have not been lucky with GOOD LEADERSHIP. We have been divided along ethnic and religious lines. Politicians in the past have exploited this division to ensure the citizens of this great country remain in hardship, poverty and lack. The current situation of our country calls for an urgent attention before we are all consumed by our collective inability to harness and make good use of the resources God has blessed us with.

There are Nigerians doing exploits globally. Chukwuemeka Afigbo,Ime Archibong,Laurence Aderemi,Olaoluwa Okelola etc are all Nigerians positively affecting lives with Mark Zuckerberg. In other areas of life like sports, Business, Medicine, science, we are doing very well.

Back home, it is a sad story. It is obvious we need a drastic change from the norm. We have to discard/amend the old way of leadership.

It is on this premise i present to us CHIKE UKAEGBU, a complete professional who has humbly presented himself to lead Nigeria to greatness under the platform of the Advanced Allied Party (AAP).

Chike was born in Owerri, Imo State and went to school in Nigeria from kindergarten through his second year at University of Lagos before heading to the United States where he studied Biomedical Engineering at City College of New York, Executive Leadership and Management at Cornell University, took MBA courses at University of Pennsylvania, and studied Venture Capital and Investments at Stanford University.

Chike taught Mathematics for seven years at City College of New York and Entrepreneurship for two, while also serving as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. He has been a fellow to the prestigious Colin Powell Fellowship in Leadership and Public Policy, and he was recently named one of the UN's 100 most influential people of African descent under 40.He is a technology entrepreneur living in New York City.

He's running on three pillars of Tech, education and entrepreneurship.

Since the old isn't working, lets try the new. Chike comes with a lot of passion to succeed and will unite Nigerians in his quest to make us great.

Here are some links to the interviews he has had with some renowned media organizations

It beats me how none of these Atiku people remember he was solidly behind the success of APC in 2015

We keep recycling the same leaders and expect different results just like the proverbial fool that keeps doing the same thing and expect a different outcome.

We can have new people in the corridors of power!

Dear Nigerians,

Please note that the AAP Presidential candidate is not stepping down for anyone. Most parties and their chairmen have been going about on every media platform to talk about their party and its manifesto. Chike Ukaegbu solely projected the party in the media and at every available opportunity, with the party doing nothing. That's the problem the #Nottooyoungtorun agenda will face. Young people need credible platforms to run on for a chance to run the country...It seems AAP endorsed APC in january and now PDP. They are now the Endorsing Party of Nigeria. I think it is time for us to have platforms for independent candidates to contest elections in Nigeria so that the likes of Chike Ukaegbu can effectively compete in elections without the negative impact of money hungry politicians disguised as party executives.

Why don't you start from the grassroots like being a local government chairman, house of representatives member, you perform and start building your profile and popularity from there.
