I skipped this in my previous response, I have over 5 years of banking experience this includes exposure to banking operations, marketing, investments and IT.

I stumbled on a free course online by a professor at Georgia Tech which concentrates on a machine learning path for an investment/hedge funds specialisation and having gone through the curriculum, it seems I will be concentrating on financial services sector as a Data Analytics Scientist also because of my background in banking. I think this will count as a linear progression in career path.

If anyone needs a link to this material please PM me. It a gentle introduction to Machine learning for financial services and I think its not bad at all.

But you know along the line, she would need her University and Law School transcripts if she wants to article. Most lawfirms require you to send your CV alongside the transcripts

Hi Seniors,

I've been following this thread since I submitted my Permanent Residency Application.

I studied chemical engineering. I have an MSc in Chemical Engineering. But my only experience was internship in ExxonMobil. I'm currently in Banking (1 Year Experience).

I do want to find my way back into Engineering. My initial plan was to enroll into a diploma course once I land while doing any job I can lay my hands on to pay the bills.


However, I just got married and wifey is carrying. So this plan isn't very feasible anymore. I'd appreciate any suggestion and different perspective from seniors.

You can always add your spouse before landing. That means even when you have your passport already stamped but yet to travel, you can always raise a CSE to include wifey/new born baby etc.

Raise a CSE, not an email, and CIC would respond in like manner . However, if there's an exceptional delay from CIC, kindly proceed and submit your passport. It won't jeopardize wifey's PPR.

To allay your fears, a friend of mine had his PPR approved, passport sent and stamped (his application took just 1 month from start to finish). He got married 6months after and raised a CSE to include his wife. Wifey application took roughly 2 months. Now they're in Canada enjoying

Am going to reply for the sake of others that needed help and come online to share part of their story so they not discourage by comment like urs

My daughter is physically challenged from birth but i will not like to go into details of her disability but sometime last year , my wife came up with the idea of going to Canada ,the first thing that come to mind is how disable people are well accepted in Canada society ,they can school , go on bus and many public places have facilities for disable people, hearing that alone bring relieve and joy to my heart because we have visit France, Dubai,Holland,hong kong ,uk and usa on family holiday and I have seen how disable people are well integrated into this societies despite there physical challenges..and i remember my wife telling me then that she will handle everything and only we have to travel with about 27,000 dollars and i remember i told her ,we have 10 million naira fixed deposit at the bank so i can get that within 2 weeks and i convert it to dollars and that about 34k canada dollars so tell them if they want 27k if they grant us resident we coming with minimum 30k dollars and my wife simile and left for work that morning , and like 2 weeks later she told me about English examination she need to attend and it not compulsory for me because she the main applicant with about 5 years of experience and two cert holder from same university and about our certificate verification it was fast and easy I guess because we studied aboard but i never attended any English examination and later she told me we have been accepted on a score I cannot remember the score and now needed to do medical examination and we went for the medical test and a month later she ask I printed my fixed deposit bank statement,company registration and she draft a letter and I read it and sign that the fund is for the family and that all l know about this Canada process and two month later she told me some more document was ask about my daughter issue and she has taken care of that and send the needed document and One morning last month that about 5 month later ,she told me our Residency have been granted ,I was so surprise because it look so easy and fast to me but our daughter comfort and integration in a society is my motivation factor from the beginning . It was after the visa granted that other thought begin to come to my mind. So please do not judge anybody because you do not know the whole story but give your advice based on what you know and it will help . and thank you to everybody that have contributed to my question it highly appreciated

Good to know that WES ECA is now favorable and very economical to use. Back in the day we used IQAS.

I think you should send WES an email telling them your concerns and how you would want the wordings to be... dunno if it'll work but you could try at least! ( sorry for the late reply)

I repeat, maternal is like that. I have had my fights with him as well. I was just giving you heads up that you need not go into fight with him and some went to study my profile like they want to write exams with what i have posted in time past.
