MrRitchie: in America, france the debates are always all about the the seating president and top candidate or opposite side. Reason why he want to continue and opposite side giving reason why he shouldn't. Who will atiku debate with ?? U no nothing, cables is contorlling buhari and they know his not capable for debate and you want to vote then in to continue... World poverty capital, killings hardship, insecurity...name 2 clean person in buhari cabinet? Transparency international report that Nigeria is more corrupt then ever. |

Re: 2019 Presidency: Disappointed Candidates Blast Buhari, Akitu by neyobills: 7:40am On Jan 20, 2019 |
MrRitchie: Your comparison holds no water,it can more be compared to a royal rumble WWE match where the defending champion who is the custodian of the belt refuses to show up at the ring, how do we get the belt for a new winner,a total boycott of the debate by all contestants would have been the ideal thing to do especially after been called political dwarfs, going on with the debate afterall smacks of low self esteem and Atiku has my respect for the boycott, shows he is a patriot,Its nothing but total disdain towards fellow contestants and countrymen, however the incumbent has been challenged again to choose a time, date and venue convenient and let's hope he will be honourable enough to honour the invite. 1 Like |

I hope we can forget PDP and APC to vote candidates that participated in this debate that's first way to keep Nigeria work again also change APC is demonstrating about . Our destines are in our hands we shouldn't depend on political party let use our PVC wise and disappoint those who have disappointed in this debate also surprise the world by electing visionary lead. |

KayJayTobz: My bro..the real people with PVCs are the almajiris in tge north that make up say 60% of the northern votes. No matter what the elites in the other region do, their votes(the Almajiris ) at the end of the day swings the election where they want. |

ogawisdom:He should have still come and convinced Nigerians why they should vote him instead of 'wasting' their votes on the other candidates. Buhari at this time is like the defending champion, the people jostling for his seat should be able to tell Nigerians why we should vote them over the others. But then again, it a pride thing; the 2 big candidates in pride simply told Nigerians to go screw themselves. |

They Have A Right To Be Fustrated With The Duo Of Atiku & Buhari's Absence. But In Reality, this Election Is About Buhari Vs Atiku. If You Think Otherwise Suit Yourself |
Re: 2019 Presidency: Disappointed Candidates Blast Buhari, Akitu by obailala(m): 7:48am On Jan 20, 2019 |
opedaydydx9:In 2011 when GEJ was very sure of winning Buhari, he didnt bother attending the debate, but Buhari did. In 2015 when GEJ smelt that his hold on power was shaky, he humbled himself and attended the debate. But Buhari who had gained confidence on his victory arrogantly didnt bother. 2019, once again, Buhari has chosen not to attend. Atiku who also sees himself as victorious has arrogantly ditched the debates. |
Re: 2019 Presidency: Disappointed Candidates Blast Buhari, Akitu by ogawisdom(m): 7:49am On Jan 20, 2019 |
obailala: It won't still change anything those that will vote atiku will still vote him whether he debated or not. Buhari did not debate again GEJ in 2015 guess what he still won. Those that debated cannot win atiku in their LGA so they are irrelevant. Everyone is fully Atikulated already he is the only true Buhari Challenger. No Muslim will vote any of those Christian southern debators that's why they are useless in this election. Election is between Buhari n Atiku |

XXLDICK: Much as I agree with the principle of most of what you've written (and in fact gave the post a "like", I think you're here before your time. Try to espouse them again in the 22nd/23rd century - your views comparing Nigeria to the US in the realm of politics may just begin to hold some water. But hey, what do I know? Thanks for posting, though. ........ P34c3 ..... ... 2 Likes |

Maxymilliano: Invalid excuse! Buhari already made his position known through his agent that he won't be attending this debate. Atiku said he will attend, showed up, then disappeared without participating. So I think Atiku's case is worse than Buhari. Buhari said he won't attend and he didn't (no shocker here), but Atiku said he will attend and he did but ran away and didn't participate (shocker). Which is why people were not happy about it. So, Buhari wins again in integrity and transparency. 1 Like |

MahatmaGhandi: So he ran away. If he becomes president and there are oppositions like MEND and BOKO HARAM fomenting trouble everywhere, I'm sure he will also run away. People can only ridicule you if you have something to hide. He was scared of being asked to give account of 8 years at the presidency with Obasanjo. He was scared to confront the truth about his ongoing corruption cases in the US (going to the US under Saraki's diplomatic immunity as his aide didn't fool well thinking Nigerians). He was scared of answering questions about what he intended to do with the economy since his only plan is to "help his friends" as he himself has said. He was hoping that he would gain traction by attacking Buhari who has dementia and should actually have resigned. He thought it would be a walk-over for him to debate with a man who has dementia, because it will be just like debating with a five year-old kid. So when Buhari didn't show, he ran away because the other candidates don't have dementia. shame on all of those supporting Buhari and Atiku. May the hunger and starvation loading for the next 4 years if any of the two are voted in be abundant in their families. 1 Like |

Stimulus is just one idiot why all the notice from PDP when its candidate won't participate... I have a feeling he was present at the venue yesterday because the moderator called him before a paper was passed to him... Buhari can be excused as a sitting president non of the previous have attended and moreover he will be a point of attack from those that don't know how is is been done and those who want to show they have something to present.. |

@MBuhari didn't show up for 2014 debate but still won... You want Atiku to debate candidates that cannot win their wards? This is politics, not telemundo. |

XXLDICK: Excellent comment. It was obvious Atiku was looking for a fellow dullard. All Nigerians (friends and foes of Buhari) knew he was too dull to attend What surprises me is the fact Atiku can swindle them 1 Like |

5thElement: No Boss, He just didn't want to take unnecessary flaks that would give the incumbent undue advantage, In a debate everyone takes flaks. Buhari chickened out so as to leave Atiku to generate the press that his spin masters would use until the elections but Atiku saw through it and as a matter of strategy left the venue. Atiku is capable of organising town hall meetings if it was just to sell himself to Nigerians. BON should have insisted on the incumbent being there, trust me Atiku would have stayed not minding the gang up. We should give the man some credit since he, inspite of the jet lag made himself available for scrutiny and has promised to make himself available again when ever Buhari is ready to do same. |
