Who was Nitel sold to and where is the money? Don't come here and tell me about MTN, Airtel etc these are private investors. I want you to tell me where is the National Assets (NITEL) ? where is the money and who was it sold to?
Was it sold or privatised?. Go ask the telecoms operators issued licences to operate, theyd tell you how much they got those operating licences for and what they've done in making the lives of Nigerians better, including yourself as one of the beneficiaries because you couldn't have afforded a telephone line in the days of nitel. The rich and middle class only had aaccess to nitel lines in those days.. And how much Nigerian governments had successively raked in as revenues over the years compared to how much they realised when the almighty Intel was in place. Mind you, privatisation isn't an outright sale as you people always posited and confuse it. If the agreement is breached, licences would be revoked and the ownership is forfeited. Google is your friend on the difference between selling and privarisation.

This is mobile era and its a worldwide thing, it's a mobile world now. Before it used to be a Land line not just in Nigeria situation but globally, internet was not as developed then, telephony was not as developed and advanced as it is today. Now telephony is more mobile , the world is on internet,we have things like messenger, video calls , voice calls etc. It is not an achievement by PDP it's just global trend that Nigeria can not be left out. Infact some smaller nations have better mobile system than us.
My question to you is where is the money , the proceeds from NITEL sale? Who was it sold to and where is the money?

I hope I've made myself clear enough on the subject matter SALE or SELLING or whatever you termed it. Read my earlier post again and again. For your information, benin republic had switched to gsm revolution long before we embraced it. But due to the fears of the successive military administrations, they refused to privatise nitel thinking they won't be able to steal money from the sector again but shockingly, they realised embarrassing revenue from the licences issued to operators and and subsequent revenues, including taxes paid to the government and pabambari, the massive jobs and employment it had generated to our people over the years. Had nitel not been privatised, the telecoms would still have been monopolized and somebody like you would have saved for months to own a line. The industry would also have been ineffective and inefficient just like the almighty NNPC is today.

Nitel was not privatized. It was liquidated. Its non-core assets were sold piecemeal in 2007 under Obasanjo and the proceeds used to settle the salary arrears of the staff. The Liquidator was Otunba Adekanola.

In 2014, a Liquidator, Otunba Senbore was appointed to sell off the core assets. Natcom Consortium led by Mr Ayeni (a crony of Jonathan and former chairman of Skye Bank) won the bid and paid $252m (N49b that time). The proceeds was used to pay Nitel creditors. Since it was liquidation dividends, it only covered about 26% owed to each creditor and they have to forfeit the balance of money owed to them.

Natcom used the licence of Mtel (the mobile subsidiary of Nitel) to establish and run Ntel (not nitel). Sequel to the crisis in Skye that led to his removal as the chairman, Ayeni has since handed over Ntel to Gen Danjuma.

How many years did musilu Smith spend...did he complete his tenure? What of mustafa balogun...did he also complete his tenure? He was disgraced and removed because of the corruption charges levelled against him so we couldn't have concluded that he fulfilled his full term as IG. In the same vein, Buhari should have also appointed another person, not necessarily a junior minister to complete Kemi' s 4-year term. When Musiliu Smith left as a result of police strike, the next person to take over according to the federal character, regardless of where he hails from, should be a Muslim officer to complete Smith's term and possibly continue from there if he deserved it after acting, which was exactly what obasanjo did by appointing tafa balogun, another Muslim. Conbining Smith and tafa's tenures ( both muslim) , the next one, irrespective of where he comes from, must be a Christian which was what obasanjo also did. Buhari was supposed to have done the same but he didn't. If the next one must be from the north central, he's supposed to be Christian because idris wasnt removed, he had his full term as IG. There are many Christian trusted officers who hail from the middle belt. But buhari isn't following that.
That is your interpretation (though uninformed). There is no requirement for rotation by religion in the application of federal character. The fact also remains that all the IGPs in the 8 years of Obasanjo were all yoruba. Simple

As far as federal character is concerned, religion and ethnicity/tribe are taken into account.

If religions are taken into account, why did you limit it to only Christianity and Islam?
Are the adherents of other religions not entitled to constitutional rights and privileges?
