I want them to, but thing is, from a business POV, Netflix will be a sucker to want to continue being a free advertising bridge for a rival service that owns the merchandise 100% and would deny Netflix leasing rights anytime they want to. Financially and business integrity speaking, Netflix has more to lose than to gain, and Disney contrastry, has all to gain. Hence, cancelling The Punisher too remain a wise course of action for Netflix.

Yeah it makes sense, considering Netflix is carrying out the chore of cleaning its house of its Marvel Shows, moving away from the model under which they signed the deal in the first place which all centers on The Defenders, but that's the thing, The Punisher was never part of The Defenders, and the characters of The Defenders won't be appearing in a rival streaming service anytime soon. So I just feel Netflix should take up this chance and milk the cow which is The Punisher dry before then.

When the contract was drawn, it is stipulated that you have the right to the land and can grow whatever you want on it, at least, until until the lease runs it's course. To make matters worse, a big part of the land you leased isn't as fertile as was promised. Suffice to say, you're making more loss than profit. So what will you do? Will you press on and incur more loss, or cut your losses and move on?


Fact is The Punisher isn't making a lot of splash for Netflix audience-wise. According to Metacritic, subscribers that subscribed for the first season outnumbered the ones that subscribed for the second, exponentially. Fact is The Punisher is in a decline, not helped by the swords of damocles hanging over it's head. So why should Netflix further invest in a show that it not only pays significant amount of money to produce, but one that has become a financial cesspool?

Bro, I'm more and more certain that The Punisher won't survive the latest season with every passing minute.

Nope. If they are gonna make a comeback, it's definitely gonna be on Disney+. Disney desires that it's wholly owned streaming service Disney+ becomes a streaming juggernaut that would rival Netflix in the near future, and what better way to corner the young demographic market from the getgo than to stream *rebooted* Marvel tv shows?

I said rebooted because obviously the content will be censored (Disney is strictly PG-13), but they can make it work if the script is well written and produced. I sincerely hope they won't CW the whole project, cuz that would suck.

Netflix does the picking up, so if this is dropped by Netflix, it's goodbye forever.
Disney is only going to water down the content and I'm not enthused to watch a water down Punisher.

I get where you're coming from but I doubt it will be prudent to restructure the make of the film just to suit the brand mantra of Disney, hence the reason why I think it will be on their other streaming platforms. I watched Disney's Titans and I can unequivocally say that I wasn't totally impressed compared to the likes of Daredevil and The Punisher.

if the reboot you mentioned gets to air of Disney+, it will lose the essence that drove viewers to it in the first place, ultimately, losing the viewers.

Season 2 (Asylum) > Season 3 (Coven) > Season 1 (Murder House) > Season 4 (Freak Show) > Season 6 (Roanoke) > Season 5 (Hotel) > Season 7 (Cult) > Season 8 (Apocalypse).

If I were you, I'd stop at season 4... the rest are a load of crap, esp the last two seasons.
