Before we kill Buhari ,have we investigated how CJN got the money into his account and also forgot to declare it? Nigeria is going nowhere as long as fight cortuption with rght hand and encourage corruption with left hand Funny we remember the sections of constitution but the man could not remember to declare the amount he has in those accounts |

Let's face it. The elections are days away. The supreme court will be crucial. The supreme court panel to be constituted to hear the presidential election petition can decide the election regardless of what the electorate does at the polls That panel is scheduled to be constituted today. The CJN was to constitute the panel. The CJN evidently is a shady character. We have now heard that the supreme court is generally filthy. So the character of that panel can be determined by who constitutes it. Suspicions seize nervous politicians. Now follow me. There is a massive gang up against Buhari. The champions of this gang want him out at all costs. They are not ready to allow the Nigerian electorate decide. The ruling party feels the slippery CJN is part of this gang. So the government decides to go against the CJN to stop a fait accompli at the supreme court. Every shady character will have many long skeletons buried in their ward robe. So they govt excavates the ward robe of the CJN. It doesnt have to dig. It has always known what and where they were buried. The government has to hurry. Time is against it. It believes that with what it has exhumed the CJN will resign in shame. But not this CJN. The CJN stares at the govt defiantly The government has to hurry. The NJC is the proper route. But the NJC is in the hands of the CJN and can not be trusted entirely. So the government choses the CCT through the CCB. That is a route whose gears it can pull. The CCB is jerked into gear 5. The CJN egged on by politicians from the opposition and the self acclaimed save Nigeria gang digs in. And starts conjuring and fetching all shades of black market judicial orders to truncate the process at the CCT. The courts all act with suspicious haste and leaves no one in doubt that either the CJN is pulling hard at the strings or judicial solidarity has taken over impartiality Then the Obasanjo letter. Time is against the govt. It asks the CJN pointedly to resign. The CJN ignores the advice. The CJN cancels a scheduled NJC meeting . He wants to quickly constitute the presidential election panel before meeting the NJC. The govt fears for the worst and takes off its gloves. The court of appeal has stalled the CCT. Everybody is frantic. So the coast is clear for the CJN and the gang to constitute the panel. The public watches, bemused. The opposition celebrates the manoeuvres by the disgraced CJN. The president is in jeopardy. He makes his move. He suspends the CJN. An order to suspend the CJN is brandished. It is from the CCT . The president is happy to obey that questionable order. The CJN is stopped close to the finishing line. The Opposition and the gang go berserk. The NBA swears it will shut the courts. The NBA president is being tried for corruption. He lacks moral authority. An acting CJN is sworn in. The president's language 1984ish. He leaves no one in doubt that subsequently it will be bare knuckles. He is totally politically awake now. The drama becomes feverish. Cries are heard. Meetings are summoned. The opposition suspends its presidential campaigns. It's high stakes politics . But it looks like something is about to give. And the country may just find its dance rhythm. Copied |

Fraust40:God bless you my brother, you are a. among the very few that didn't join the bandwagon in shouting and screaming with no substance. Nigeria belongs to all of us and everyone must be treated equally. I've said it on several occasion, the political elites just hide under the guise so called democracy and different constitution technicalities to evade justice. It's just painful that the youth that are the receiving end of the corruption entrenched in Nigeria are the one screaming. Someone steals billions, hires SANs who find loop holes in the constitution in connivance with the corrupt judges walks free on the streets. Posterity will judge Buhari, the first president to tackle corruption head-on. His approach might not be the best but he has sent shivers into the minds of corrupt people. Go to our MDAs, Universities things have changed. |

Gap2020: You cannot shave a man's head if he's absent...or so they say. The NJC cannot decide the fate of the CJN in his absence. He has to be present, at some point. If the CJN is to be present at the NJC Panel deciding his fate, he'll only be there as the Chairman (their oga). I do not believe Buhari suspended him as the Complainant ("acusser" in your words), what wrong has the CJN committed against him? I believe Buhari suspended him to avoid a scenario in which the CJN will be a Judge in his own matter (which is almost certainly the main reason the CJN and his team have been kicking for the matter to first be referred to the NJC while he is still serving as its Chairman). |

post=75126681: NOISE WITHOUT SUBSTANCE: Go and read section 3(d) of the Code of Conduct Act: it says that once a person admits to an error, mistake or non-Compliance in Asset Declaration matters, it “SHALL NOT BE NECESSARY” to charge the matter to the Tribunal. The so called admission is A COMPLETE DEFENCE under the law. If I may ask; where is Buhari’s Asset Declaration? Why has Buhari not stepped aside until the Federal High Court determining his Certificate Case concludes Hearing or maybe we ask that Court to issue a BLACK MARKET INJUNCTION asking him to step aside without going through the National Assembly? The Buhari aide, Dennis Aghanya, who wrote the petition to CCB, in his last paragraph of the petition said it was written because of the IMMINENCE OF THE 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS, but of course that makes no meaning to you. God gave you a BRAIN for a reason: use it!!! |

BigND: I'm sorry to bud into your argument, but pray tell me - do you have any Legal Authority upon which you have based the emboldened statement? I ask because my own God-given brain tells me that the word "necessary" generally connotes persuasion, and not compulsion. |
Re: Onnoghen: Fayose Reacts, Says Buhari Not Different From Adolf Hitler by BigND(m): 1:37pm On Jan 26, 2019 |
Fraust40: Sorry, have you first verified by reading section 3(d) of the Act to confirm that it actually says so If you have confirmed then I will ask you if there is, in your opinion, a difference between “it MAY not be necessary” and “it SHALL not be necessary”. Let me have your thoughts on that and then we take it from there |

BigND: In my opinion, it seems the language is confusing you. Putting the word "may" before the phrase "not be necessary" is in itself unnecessary, as both words convey the very same idea - POSSIBILITY! Haven stated my opinion, I must add - Law has nothing to do with opinions. Again, do you have any Legal Authority upon which you have based the statement you made? That is all any court will be concerned with. |

Politics is a game, in fact, a "rough" game that must be played within the law. I don't know if there is sinister motive behind Onnoghen's suspension but whether there is or not, the Buhari camp with the help of Onnoghen himself has played within the law. 1. the law that vested right on Buhari to appoint CJN also vested on him the right to suspend the same person and also the right to appoint another person to act in his capacity. go and read Nigerian Law interpretation act. 2. the suspended CJN by his position is not expected to be found wanting or claiming ignorant of certain portion of Nigerian law or declared himself not sound in mind(Forgetfullnes) 3. Onnoghen has a written acknowledgement, admitting that he is rightfully accused but sighted forgetfulness which is not recognize by law as excuse. 4. Before the politicians get you into shouting what you don't understand, Onnoghen has only been suspended not sacked Now let's look outside the law 1. Assuming that Onnoghen is from Kaduna, Katsina or even Kogi and a case like this comes up and he admitted and Buhari decides to retain him, will Nigerians especially those from the East in particular give their support and praise to Buhari for keeping him? 2. finally before you criticize Buhari, remember the Kemi Adeosun's case. ignorant was not taken as excuse then why now. |
