Bigsteveg: Yes the 07 had transmission issues, in 2013 and 14 it was over nairaland but the wahala Don reduce. 07 and 08 had the 2.4L i4 while the 2010 has 2.5L i4. I think you are better off with the 2.5L i4 2009 upwards. 1 Like |

nurey: Ah, yes. 2016, not 2015. My bad. No, the 3.0 doesn't have better handling. In fact, that's a universally known fact. Infiniti moved to an electronically assisted steering that's considered much worse than the G37's hydraulic steering. The normal 3.0 doesn't do 0-60 in 5s, that's the Red Sport model with 400 HP. The normal q50 with a 3.0T does 0-60 in 5.0s, I believe. The 3.7L does it in 5.3s. The 3.0T is faster to 60mph because it has more low-end torque. The 3.7L has most of its power at the top. FI vs NA as usual.

Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by radautoworks: 2:10pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
Chelseafan1: Fast, pretty, pleasant ride, decent on gas, fun to drive, lasts forever. Doesn't have Mercedes gas strut sit-down syndrome. Been known to have battery/alternator issues. Everything else sound. They (my dad, mom, husband and cousin) all struggle to drive it as an everyday driver. 3 Likes |

Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by MotorGuru: 2:37pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
Bigsteveg: If you are considering the inline 4, the 2010 Camry is your best bet. More powerful and much more reliable engine( 2.5L engine as against the 2.4) 6speed automatic compared to the 5 speed of the i4 of the 2009 and below. Better sound insulation. For the V6 I would recommend 2009-up. To avoid the notable 3-4 shift flares of the 2007 models and also stick acceleration pedals. |

Experts please help me compare Benz C300 and Lexus Es 350? I've gotten offer for both at 3.5M but having a hard time deciding which to go for. |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by HeavenlyBang(m): 4:18pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
Damitimo: ES350 will be cheaper to maintain. ES350 has more power. ES350's interior is debatably of a higher quality. ES350 has a better stereo. ES350 has more rear legroom. C300 has more prestige and looks better. C300 handles better, and is more fun to drive. C300 is a Mercedes. Choose wisely. |

CityNGR: The Lexus is a better car by far. Except in sports handling. In technology, luxury appointments, resale value, quality fit and finish, practicality, speed etc. The Lexus ES350 trumps the C300 |

Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by kingreign(m): 4:47pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
Damitimo: Go for the ES350. Its a better car by far, its also a more safer car too when one is involved in a crash. |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by kingreign(m): 4:50pm On Jan 27, 2019 |

Not everybody cares about throwing a car into a hard corner at 120km/h. It also takes only very skilled or very stupid suicidical drivers to do that. |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by HeavenlyBang(m): 4:58pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
kingreign: Tbh, that's not the only situation where you can appreciate good handling. My ES's steering, for example, is pretty unprecise, and taking corners on the damn thing is a bit scary, haha. You never quite know how the car is going to react. |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by kingreign(m): 5:04pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
HeavenlyBang: Bro, I've taken quite a number of ES on long trips, and I love throwing cars into hard corners at high speeds when I'm in the mood. The times I've thrown ES into corners, they responded well. Especially between Ejule and Ortukpo Branch axis of the journeys. Caveat: I am not encouraging anyone to try it. |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by HeavenlyBang(m): 5:09pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
kingreign: I guess the ES350's steering and suspension were improved. |
