Angry Youths Destroy Abia State Community Over Land Dispute(photos)

I happened to be in Ozarike autonomous community, Umunneochie LGA in Abia state yesterday evening for an occasion, then i had series of sporadic gunshots and people running for their lives, it was later i enquired and learnt that is was the youths from the neighbouring village Amalato that invaded and destroyed people's properties over communal land. Peoples shops were burnt, bikes and vehicles were destroyed. A member of the royal family was shot on both legs but later taken to the hospital before I could take pictures. I still thank God i was in a fenced building and not outside.

Please no amount of land is worth a human life, let us learn to live in peace and take such matters to court where it will be properly addressed.

Dangote needs to acquire Abia state

State will be better managed under the Dangote group of companies.

Or indigenes should be relocated and entirety of state used for National cattle ranch.

Part of the problem arose from the mass creation of Autonomous Communities by former administrations of Orji Uzo Kalu and Theodore Orji to win votes, now every household in Abia state now have a king who defines areas that make up his empire that may encroach on the next autonomous Eze or Igwe.
Even some autonomous communities created last year will refer to themselves as Ancient Kingdom .
