6 friends killed in a car accident and her.... sister accused drunk driver of being a Yahoo boy with sinister intentions

A lady who lost six friends and her sister after a drunk driver rammed into them has taken to Facebook to mourn them and narrate how they died.

Temitope Hameed said the women had all gone for a vigil in a mosque along the Moshood Abiola way in Abeokuta, Ogun State. While performing ablution in preparation for prayers, a drunk driver rammed into them, killing 7 of them while 1 is in a coma.


The car which rammed into the young women had 4 occupants, one of them a woman. They all sustained injuries in the car.

According to reports, the drunk-driver lost control of the vehicle he was driving before he ploughed into the victims.

The Head of Operations Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Abeokuta Division, Olaleye Babajide, confirmed the incident. He said the accident occurred at about 10.30 pm on Friday, January 25, 2018.

He said:


The car swooped off the road, uprooted an electric pole and thereafter crushed the worshippers standing in front of the Rahamot Lahill Quareeb mosque located beside the road, killing them on the spot.


The official said the deceased were relaxing in front of the mosque in preparation for a vigil before tragedy struck.

He added:



The impact of the crash forced the authorities of the State Traffic officials to axe the car into pieces before the four occupants of the car could be removed from the wreckage.



Mr Babajide said the occupants of the car including the driver were drunk.

He said:



Overspeeding on the part of the driver was responsible for the crash. A number of alcoholic drinks, including tramadol were seen in the car,” he said.


He said two of the occupants of the car were arrested while attempting to run away from the scene of the accident. He added that the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of Federal Medical Centre(FMC).

The authorities and the relatives should rush to the scene and evacuate the remains of their relatives before the body parts start disappearing ooh!..

Meanwhile rest in peace friends their consolation is that they'll continue their friendship in the afterlife.

So sad, buh life happens.

this is a simple accident caused by a serious abuse of alcohol and drugs. It has nothing to do with calculated ritual purposes at all. RIP to the dead. And to our reckless young idiots who are now custodians of clubs, sex, drugs and drinks, please feel free to destroy your own lives...but do not allow it to affect others.

Only few people maintain their cars in this country because maintenance is costly. They just see ride as only to buy fuel and other things partially neglected. RIP to the dead.
