Hmmm, Kroger is hanging in there. In my area they are trying to reinvent themselves. I thought they were only in the Midwest.

Exactly. However, I still see people who act like Walmart is trash and good enough for poor people. I told some friends I huh op at Walmart and they looked at me like I was a homeless f$$ker. I work hard for my money and would rather buy generic than spend it all on some crazy expensive brand name.

How bad is the weather in your area? I heard we are bracing for the coldest temps in about a century. I ain't seen nothing out of the ordinary yet.

Now to be fair alot of the times if you compare the food label on the back of a generic food item and a better brand, the sodium, sugar, fat, or carbohydrates are higher in the generic item.

I generally avoid Walmart except for the fact that it is the only place I can find family size Lemon Oreos and family size Cheezits. My typical shopping experience goes something like this...

I run in for a few food items. I gather everything and think, "oh yeah I need toothpaste" I go alllllllll the way on the opposite side of the store for toothpaste only to realize, "crap I forgot toilet paper." I now have to go alllll the way back over to the other side of the store to get that. I get everything I need so i now make my way to check out, only to find out that out of the 10 grocery lanes available, only 2 are open. 5 people in it already have their cart full with that months groceries. Customer service is generally wack and in my area Walmart tends to attract crazies. Have you heard of that blog called The People of Walmart?

Straight up, most of the opinions I see of black americans on here come from watching too much tv. Y'all are looking at all the wrong things and horribly misinformed. I'll give you an example. Look at the democratic field of nominees for 2020. "Blacks" are not squandering what they have there. They are actively facing challenges. As tough as you think you are in Nigeria, do you get shot just for being in a traffic stop? Do you get incarcerated while being innocent at rates far exceeding your share of the population? Before you guys start telling "blacks" to suck it up, maybe get over here first and try to survive then you can talk. Or have you forgotten the scores of Naijas that make it to "Amelica" then go silent because they are embarrased to admit they have taken jobs they refused to do in their own country and are barely making ends meet?

My best friend and her husband are "black", in their mid-30s, own their house outright, have four family vehicles and manage their household with 4 sons. She is in law enforcement and he is a deep sea welder after 10 years in the navy (almost all of them active duty in war zones). Despite his service, because of the color of his skin it took about 6 years for him to be able to assimilate and find a job because he was "black".

And as to why they are not taking over like asians etc, the first thing we do when a JJC comes over is try to take advantage of them instead of help. Remember, when you point one finger...

Yep, that's the reason I make up excuses to go shopping with the ladies. I cant bear to walk past the same aisle 5 times. I am romantic, however, shopping together is a different ball game.

I generally don't watch the weather. I hear about things through word of mouth and also the weather forecasters are right half of the time. Somebody told me yesterday that the wind chill is to be about -20. I dont know how that is possible but in anticipation, schools and some businesses are already closing.

kroger:
As i type it is -3 in St Charles Missouri, i couldn't feel my hands from the hotel lobby to my car, i was shaking vehemently.. Cant wait to get out of this state

Wow.....see as guys are finishing my Walmart...I do all my shopping in Walmart except for clothes and tools, Infact anywhere I go, l look for Walmart, it most be my brain or something I go far in search of Walmart even if there’re other shops nearby. I don’t even give a damn about crazies and I love gallivanting round the shop like a JJC .....My relatives avoid Walmart like it’s for poor people only, well I’m not rich...yet
