That guy that acted as blackmanta was nit formidable to me.


They should have casted someone like Micheal jai white who showed interest.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II did a good job as Black Manta.

He didn't get enough screen time cuz he will likely be the main villain in Aquaman 2.

The movie was only setting him up for a bigger involvement in a sequel.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II signed a contract with WB to appear in over 4 DC movies.
So his little role in Aquaman was just the beginning of the Black Manta character.
He will grow as a villain to become as formidable you expect him to be.

Characters grow and develop, you know undecided

Yahya barely had 15 minutes of screen time.
Cut him some slack.

That is because Aquaman just made a villain out of him.

It's not as if he was used to fighting Aquaman before.
He is a normal human being and Arthur is Atlantean.

It's not a surprise he got his ass kicked by Arthur in the first movie.

He's only been a villain for 15 minutes and trying to tackle a threat he never had any much experience tackling before.

Everything about him was comic accurate.

David Hyde started the movie as an average pirate working with his father, robbing navy subs.

He will eventually grow and develop as Black Manta.

He is a newbie for crying out loud.

I read the comic books.

I don't rely on movie knowledge only.

I read quite a pile of Aquaman comic books.

So I understand the Black Manta character.

So i woke up very early this morning and i decided to knock myself out with some movies, since it's a very cold night.

Winchester its a nice horror movie and one of the maids of Mrs Winchester that died when part of the building collapse, is ZED of legend of the seeker, the wizard of the first order.

Winchester to me is 6/10.

Second movie i watched was close.
Main actress acted what happed to Monday.

Close is a nice movie, good storyline and the song they played when the movie was over, is top of the notch song.

The song has been on repeat since morning.

So Close is rated 6/10.

Last movie i saw this morning was peppermint.
What an epic movie, about revenge, so similar to the movie "Revenge"

Peppermint is rated 8.5/10

Note: One thing that i have noticed about movies is that movies where females are casted as main characters seems to be more interesting than when males are the main characters.

Movies like The polar and eqalizer where men are the main leads can't contest with movies like Revenge, Peppermint and what happened to Monday, where women are the main leads.

This is my observation for many years now.

Its not like i want to start a new DC and Marvel argument but the sea goddess to me will definitely be the most fearful creature ever in any super hero movie.

I feared for Aquaman when the sea goddess first approached him.

The creature gave me the thrills.

And if you notice, Nobody could defeat the creature and this is the beauty of DC movies.

Apart from the creature, i personally think the mother of Aquaman is the strongest.
if I'm not mistaken. That sea goddess in Aquaman kinda remind me of the kraken in class of the titans.

I believe they have the same physique and monstrous strength and remember, in clash of the titans, nobody can 'defeat' the kraken, not even an army.
