You are very correct but you forgot to add that the whole of Ebonyi state vote is less than Agege Local Government.

Governor David Umahi is one of the smart governors of the South East and the South-South, where Buhari got the least votes, just like Obiano of Anambra, Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ben Ayade of Cross River.

They are PDP members but they went out of their way to befriend the President and their people are better for it:

1. massive CBN support for rice production in Ebonyi, with a huge employment domino effect, support for SMEs;

2. non-interference with Anambra governorship elections, without the use of the Police and the Army (unlike a thing an Obasanjo would have done as President, via “do or die politics”) hence ensuring Obiano’s re-election as wanted by Ndi Anambra (the Governor visited a Buhari to thank him for this);

3. uninterrupted power supply for Ariara Market traders via gas-powered power plant, support for shoe-making SMEs via CBN support funds;

4. support for rice cultivation and industrial hubs, and right of way for Calabar super highway.

It was the same way some ANPP Governors were friendly with Obasanjo as President and they delivered their states to him in his 2nd term election in 2003.

This is SMART POLITICS!!!
