[s]Ofcourse, when grazing lots and ranches are established, there will be no need to restrict someone else's movement. The only reason those states enacted those laws under duress was because the herders killed so many of their farmers during Buhari tenure and Buhari did nothing. "Desperate times require desperate measures". But with a proactive Atiku who believes in prevention, those desperate laws will no longer be necessary. He, Atiku will start by disarming the herdsmen and educating them on need for ranching. A full prevention circle, will make the problems go away. Hope you all got it now? You are welcome[/s]!
P.A. to Atiku on Herdsmen affairs. And you think you're making sense right? Keep living in fool's paradise.

Atiku is too educated to be a close minded Fulani lunatic.
There is a reason why miyetti Allah is endorsing buhari.

The ipob you are calling also supported yaradua, another Fulani.

But of course, buhari is the first Fulani president to bigoted clowns like you.
The same Myetti Allah also endorsed Jonathan and made him life patron; so how does your akpu logic reconcile with that?

Educated how?

What is his highest academic qualification?

Because he's stolen money doesn't make him educated or indeed sophisticated.

Atiku never will act in a manner that is in the overall interest of the larger Nigerian citizenry so long as it is at variance with the sectional interest of his Fulani ethnic stock. South Easterners who have Atiku pictorially yoked with Prof. Nwabueze should be wiser now at his utterance.

Miyeti Allah is sympathetic towards his kinsmen hence his support for herdsmen. Nothing is wrong with that. I started having a different view about him when I heard him speak with Ondo state security. He asked the security to arrest any herdsman or Fulani that causes mayhem in the state which we have done so far. His only problem is with antigrazing law because he thinks it would stop their only source of living.

I'm still of the opinion that Atiku has something to do with the herdsmen causing mayhem to disrupt this admnistration. He already knows Buhari would likely be sympathetic towards his kinsmen. Atiku has the largest herds of cows in the country and has no raunching set up for them btw.

More especially for a man like Atiku who is sworn to sell NNPC even at the risk of his life and committed to enriching his “friends”!

This is a complete misinterpretation of facts.

On the Herders/ Farmers clashes, Atiku posited thus:
" I think we need to look at establishing feeding lots because that's the best practice. There are companies producing cattle feeds in the country and when cattle are kept in one place, they produce more meat and milk". Is this not Ranching?

On whether the Herders will accept the change, Atiku said "it is not going to be instantly but with continuous sensitization, they will come to understand that it benefits them more. Even when we started normadic education, they resisted but one of them is a PhD holder working with me now. It is going to be more expensive but it will even more profitable to them".

Then the interviewer asked, What will you do about states who have signed Anti Open grazing laws clearly prohibiting Herders to reside in their states? Atiku's answer was thus,
"then we will have to look at the constitutional legality of those laws. Citizens have the freedom of movement and right to reside in other states of the country".

The Benue law does not prohibit Herders from residing in Benue, but prohibits open grazing and encourages Ranches (feeding lots) which means livestock owners can reside in Benue, and put their animals on closed farms or ranches.

Where exactly in the above discuss did Atiku discard the law rather than encourage it?
So mischief makers should stop changing the narrative to suit their cause.

Atiku is supporting grazing reserves. But in this age, what is practiced world over is cattle ranching
What is the difference between grazing reserve and ranching ?

Grazing reserve is same with the grazing colony Buhari proposed.

Ranching is quite different because it's a private establishment by any individual venturing into cattle rearing, not the federal govt allocating lands in each state to herdsmen which is what Buhari and Atiku are proposing.

Hmmm

Eventually, we are going to do two things in this country...and by extension the whole of Africa because there are countries with two or three tribes that like ehrding cattle (Infact part of South Sudan's problems are due to cattle related problems)

1.Massive grazing ranches...to be run as cooperatives, set up in the far North...with the aim of supplying an agro allied industry and dairy industry. Each and every of these ranches would be linked to the railway network for easy transport of export related products.

2.Additonally, we have to fix the railways.

The era of roaming around with cow is at an end.Our populaiton is now 200million. Back in 1963 we were 55 million, and our railways were already trasporting cow realted products to the South. Too bad mismanagement in the 1970's led to the problems we have today.
the Fulani wants grazing reserves in the middle belt snd south.
