Even at recession italy would still be far ahead of us

Of course, they would.

A country that gave you Galileo Galilee, Leonardo Da Vinci, Evangelista Toricelli, Ferrari, Fiat, Pirelli, Agip, Versace, Serie A, etc. should be accorded respect.

They would pull out of it, because they are creative, inventive, hardworking and pragmatic.

Buhari's incompetence contributes to Nigerians emigrating on boats to Italy. That also eats up Italy's economy.

Italy in recession was caused by the populist government in power and not immigrants.
I can see lots of people in this thread calling on the heads of immigrants in Italy as if they are the cause their problem. The italy coalition government are having bad time due to there budgets challenges. Italy has over 99 problems unsolved, immigrants is never their problem because there is working integration program.

I expected this. The welfare package for unproductive African immigrants has crippled the economy.

Simply because the country is highly developed backed with massive and state-of-the-art infrastructure. What did our leaders do with all the country's money in the past?

Italy controlled Libyan oil under Gaddafi but folded their hands and allowed France and US to devastate Libya, now they pay a huge price for keeping quiet and not resisting evil

The government is an anti infrastructure combine with populist. They like changing the laws to suit their ego.
Before they came in the country was having some challenges and the previous government having revamping the economic and their GDP has started rising. Italy is the second highest debtor's in Europe after Greece. Part of what lead them to recession is the universal basic income, which is part of their campaign manifest. How can you borrow money to fulfil a promise.
