have been seaching for people who give me links to any aba seller, i can't travel to aba but send money and like to receive my goods at my location, anybody with aba link?
You must make a first time trip to Aba by yourself before you make contacts and start sending money. You may discover that you must always go to Aba to select your items by yourself, else they waybill nonsense to you.

Bobugee:

You just told part of my own story...

I ran a joint Partnership Business with my boss, who I served as an Apprentist for 7yrs. When he settled me, we entered in partnership business that ran for 18months. So when we dissolved the partnership, I divided my own share from the business proceeds into three places and used 33.33% and started my business coupled with supplier's credit... Then, I invested the rest on a Fixed Deposit with my bank for 8% annual interest rate.

This lasted Investment lasted for 9months before I terminated it and took it up to Treasury Bills where I got a better offer of 12% while am making little savings and investing it up there together.

The idea is to save up to N20million by 2021 then use it to build a larger scale Supermarket, my business line.

So, it's not safe to bury money in the bank just lydat. You need to invest the principal and also reinvest the proceeds afterwards.

You could have made over extra 2 million if you had done this over the spate of time the money has been in the bank. Honestly.

When the sages say time is money, this is exactly what they are talking about.

Bobugee,

Why on Earth are you sounding smart but you are really making bad decisions? TB pays 12.5% ROI but Annual Inflation data for 2019 is 13.5% and increasing? So, that means you locked up your funds with the banks at 1.5% loss in value. Na wa for you people o.

Success requires Data Management Strategy and you must extrapolate the growth curve using data spread. You all need to start working with data and not just the figures on paper. Wealth Creation requires statistical savvy.

Damn....

I started a service rendered business in 2014, took me a year to plan. I've re-strategised at least 10 times , I've been disgraced , I've cried, I've thought of giving up, I've questioned myself... Well truth be told, the road isn't easy at all. It's not going to go as planned. As a Christian and a strong believer of God's word, that's what kept me. But outside religion every business you startup must have a "WHY". This Why must be something that relates to you, that made you start, your why can't be money or profit. It could be a break up, it could be obesity, it could be anything asides money. Because this Why is what will keep you going when there are no sales, this Why will be the thing that makes you say, okay let me try again.

If you can make 1m in Nigeria as an entrepreneur there's no country in this world you won't blow.

It's not easy in this side of earth

I have read through the thread and there is no single success story. Reason being that none of the posters had a really good reason for going into business and secondly, do not even know the most important reason that makes a business succeed. Just people who are battling to make money.

Money is not the reason you should do business but, just a tool. No matter how much money you have, it is just a tool. If you believe cash is the reason you should be in business, you have a set of wrong data running through your mind.

Stop wasting your time and money, just go back to the basics friends.

In view of the challenges many business starters face especially in tough economy like in Nigeria, one of our company: PeterPaul Global Trades & Imports (A subsidiary of Armourcop Glass Security Systems Ltd) is providing a free training and assistance on how to start a small Importation business from scratch-to-finish. Minimum Amount required to startup is: N150,000, and an email address (free) Other things needed but not compulsory are: (1) A registered Business Name (N10,000), (2) Bank Account with domiciliary subaccount (3) A mini website (N25,000) but most importantly, your determination to succeed.

Estimated profit is between N20,000 - N50,000 monthly depends on how committed you are to the business.

Nairalander Brothers, you are right.

Its not easy running a business, forget the gimmick of start with little as bla bla bla and some even tell you, you can start without capital.

I starter a business 5years ago, I have not made a profit but losses not because am useless but their are many factor that ruin businesses especially with limited starting capital.

In the past, I started several business and abandoned them for many good reasons.

Now, I made up my mind to stick to this till the end. Guess what, in trying not to give up. I have learn to start producing the much needed material locally instead of buying same from importers. I have tested my locally produced product and it gave me and my client 100% satisfaction.

My advise are:

You either continue as a salary earning or go through the challenges to succeed as an entrepreneur. Every successful businesses suffer setback before succeeding.

I'm so happy i stumbled onto this page today. I just started a cleaning service business and I've been having sleepless nights since i started. I used almost all my money to invest and I'm yet to get one client. I'm so confused and don't even know how to go about this whole thing. I've tried several marketing strategies and it's really frustrating me. Need advice on how to go about this effectively...

Not always fruitful most times...So many people u see doing nothing have invested in one business or the other, but everything went down drain. I will advice graduates to think properly before investing in any business....

People don't know the usefulness of Mentorship.

Before I started out my first business I approached a Mentor and gained 300% returns in 12months.

When I started my second business, I failed to approach my mentor which would have saved me so much headache, stress and loss of my initial profits.

So that's the problem most young business people have, they make up the profits inside their head and expect it to flow accordingly in real life without guidance.

Another mistake is seeking advice from the wrong people who lack experience in the area of business you are going into.

I've spent millions on my farm in the past 15 months, inluding about N2m in salary. Just paid salary again today.

Yet, total revenue to date - just N300, 000!

I should make more money this dry season, but I need to spend about N500k over the next 2 weeks to make that happen.

I'm beginning to doubt if I'll recover my investment.

The vast majority of new businesses fail. It happens every where, but in Nigeria, the likelihood of failure is extremely high.

You don't have a Mentor.
