An Ethiopian national, Sintayehu Legese, has won the 2019 Lagos City Marathon. The victory has earned Lagese the $50 prize slated for the winner of the tournament. He finished the race with a time of 2:17:26, while Joshua Kipkorir came second. Those who came second and third would be going home with $40,000 and $30,000 respectively.
