it is not Nigeria's fault that our Athletes are not capable, If anyone from Nigeria had won it, he would be given the prize

other countries are not supposed to enter into OUR empowerment contest.

The organizers are allowed to set the rules as they see fit. Besides if the Ethiopian lives and works in Lagos, why shouldn't he participate?

It's $50000,not $50.but even if na $50,more than d no of those that went 4 yesterday's auditioning of Bbn would compete 4 it considering d poverty level of Nigeria my country .in Naija,we die there!

No one will risk his life to run for 50$, Many Nigerians are not poor as you think we all know real Poverty is in the North, Just stop crying please undecided What do you even Know as Poverty? Are you homeless and living on the streets? Are you not wearing clothes? are you not able to eat three times a Day? Many Nigerians want to live Big and Live a Life that lavish Money, Get Rich Quick without much efforts, that's why many Nigerians go into Crime. No Hardworking Nigerians will ever be poor unless he is Lazy, Many Nigerians say they are poor when they are not living big and not living a luxurious life style. You have Forgotten that it is Impossible For Everyone to be Rich, It is Impossible for everyone to just be Rich.

Isn't this just another form of capital flight? Every year, for over a decade noe,we keep organizing marathon events where nationalities of other countries emerge winners, are these events adding any value by grooming our own local marathoners?

Is he mad or something..

How will he run for over two hrs and get 50$?
That was how u failed comprehension back then in school. When you would not finish the passage.
OP later put $40k and $30k for 2nd and 3rd respectively.. Which means the '000' was left mistakenly.

Sintayehu Legese has never won the Dubai marathon; in fact, he has never even been among the top ten. However, even if he had won other marathons, I wouldn't consider that as greed. It is simply his way of earning an income.
