I wonder what Nigeria will become when oil is useless. China has pledged 40% of total vehicle population will be all electric by 2025 Norway an oil producing country has pledge that by 2021 40% - 60% of cars will be all electric. Tesla is not slowing down in their production of electric cars. UK and Australia are adopting all electric cars at a Very fast pace. I wonder if we have sensible leaders, or dont they read news? God have mercy |

My fellow Nairalanders, with the way Nigeria is going, we cannot continue to rely on our leaders, if not we are on a serious LONG THING. I have got some ideas: Nigeria produces close to 40million metric tonnes of waste annually. Lagos produces 13000 MT of waste per day, which translate to 390000MT per month. If the government can build a plasma gasification plant in Lagos that converts 1MT of waste to 600Kwhr, in 1 day the plant will generate (13000 * 600) 7800000Kwhr. If an average house uses 1.25kwhr, then that plant will power 260000 houses for 1day(24hr). If each house is billed N5000 per month, then the plant will generate N1.3b - N1.4b per month. Annually the plant would generate N15.6b - N16.8b per year just from Lagos alone. After the first year, the bill might increase to N6k per month per household, then the plant's annual revenue will be N18.72b, which translate to a 11.43% increase in revenue. |
